Maisy was determined to escape the three men. She didn't know their intentions, but escape was paramount. Just as she prepared to flee, they stood motionless, their imposing presence blocking her path. They seemed to see through her.

“Who are you? What do you want?” she demanded, gritting her teeth.

One replied, “You need to come with us.”

“I’m not Maisy. Why would I go with you?” she countered, suspecting Steven's involvement. He likely wanted to punish her for her actions toward Mona. It made no sense; Mona was merely an acquaintance. Given Steven's resources, he could find any woman he desired. She couldn't understand why he was targeting her, his own sister, especially since Mona wasn't in danger.

“Stop wasting time,” one of them said.

Before she could protest, a man grabbed her arm. She struggled, screamed, but to no avail. The basement unit was deserted; everyone was outside working. She was roughly pulled into a car.

Minutes later, Aiken received a call and contacted Skylar. “I’ve found Maisy. Besides you, her classmate’s father is also looking for her. She lured her classmate to Askea under the guise of a vacation, then disappeared. My sources say she’s lured several people there; some are dead, organ donors, or worse, private slaves.”

Aiken’s voice remained calm; he was accustomed to such horrors. But Maisy's ruthlessness, selfishness, and disregard for limits were exceptional.

Skylar wasn't surprised. Maisy always prioritized herself, using others as tools. If those tools became inconvenient, she acted without hesitation. This was typical, but she had crossed a line.

Finding Aiken meant the missing girl’s father was powerful and not to be trifled with.

“Does this father want to handle Maisy himself?” Skylar asked.

“Yes. Should I give her to him, send her to your brother, or the police?” Aiken replied.

“Hand her over to the father,” Skylar said immediately. She believed he would ensure Maisy paid for her actions.

“Understood.”

Just as Aiken was about to hang up, Skylar remembered Simona. “Simona video-called a few days ago. She’s dating someone. What do you think of him?”

Simona was innocent and vulnerable. Another bad relationship would be devastating.

“I disapprove. His parents and sisters are opportunistic and selfish bullies. He’s a charmer who’s deceived many girls, but she won’t listen. I have other plans, don’t worry,” Aiken said seriously.

Skylar felt reassured. “We need to intervene quickly; she’s very involved.”

“Got it. Contact me if anything else arises in Jipsburg.”
