Chapter 1331

Surveillance cameras around the house had recorded everything. Skylar could check the footage later to see exactly what happened.

“There’s no need for this visit, Veronica,” Gloria said. “What’s obtained by deceit is never truly yours. Go home and consider that.” She added, “Please show her out.”

Unwilling to argue further, Rosa raised her hand, signaling Veronica to escort Rosa.

Veronica, with a sly smile, couldn't stand women like Rosa, especially one scheming to cling to Joe. “Right this way, Ms. Reese,” she said. “Mrs. Martin Senior needs her rest; there’s no more time for your stories.”

Rosa’s face flushed. Biting her lip, she glared. “As hired help, you should advise them properly. He’s been gone three years. Let him rest in peace and stop bothering the innocent.”

“We have security guards and surveillance cameras,” Veronica retorted. “If you continue, you’ll be escorted out and could become quite famous in Murida. Besides, Ms. Sullivan has every right to see Mr. Martin. You’re the one acting like a third wheel, trying to steal someone else’s man.”

Rosa, lacking self-awareness, was infuriating. Her lack of boundaries was astounding.

Flustered and speechless, Rosa finally snapped. “Fine, I’ll report this to the police! This won't look good for you. I won't let anyone covet my fiancé.” She stormed out.

Outside, the security guards glared at Rosa. Dealing with Skylar had been a headache, but Gloria was even more of a nuisance. Gloria’s cold glances were incessant.

Rosa would make them regret this. Money wasn't her ultimate goal; she craved security for future generations and the respected title of Mrs. Sowle—a title that commanded admiration and envy. No one would take what was hers.

On her way back, she made a call. “Find out where Skylar went today and which hospital Mrs. Martin Senior is at for her checkup.”
