Annie’s hand trembled. The towel she held almost slipped. Hadn't they said everything was taken care of? Why did he look so alert?

Joe narrowed his eyes and approached her. Removing his tie, he said, "You're here early."

"W-What?" Annie stammered, surprised.

What did he mean? Did he know she was coming? He didn't seem surprised to see her. Had Grayson and Thomas told Joe? Was Joe less merciless than she'd thought? Did he… like her?

Annie’s heart pounded.

"Skylar, help me remove my clothes," Joe murmured, anticipation lacing his tone. He would have suppressed it if Skylar weren't present. Now, there was no need to restrain himself.

Annie’s face fell. She stiffened. Joe mistook her for Skylar!

This realization rendered her earlier hopes absurd. She said hoarsely, "Alright."

With trembling hands, she reached for him.

Meanwhile, Skylar was preparing for bed when Paul called. She was surprised. Why would he call at this hour?

"Ms. Sullivan, come quickly to the Stargaze Hotel! Something's happened to Joe! I've sent his room number. Come as soon as possible!" Paul exclaimed.

He hung up immediately.

Skylar's sleepiness vanished. Wasn't Joe attending a charity gala? Why would something happen to him there?

She had no time to dwell on it. She quickly changed and left Galaxy Villa.

Paul's fingers trembled around the room key card. As he watched the elevator ascend, he cursed, "What a broken-down elevator! Why is it so slow?"

Joe's drink had been spiked earlier. Everyone at the gala should have known his response to such an act. Yet, someone dared to do it!

Finally, the elevator reached Joe's floor. Paul rushed to his room and used his card to open the door.

However, something was resisting from the inside, and Paul couldn't open it, no matter how hard he tried.

"Mr. Martin, are you in there? What's going on?"

He pushed harder, causing the person behind the door to fall.

A woman screamed.

Paul's eyes widened. He realized something and shouted, "Holy shit! Whoever you are, get out now! Do you know what you're doing? You're asking for trouble! I want to know who's scheming against Mr. Martin!"

A roar came from inside, "Get lost!"

Paul was stunned. He asked, "Mr. Martin?"
