That night, after Joe left the car, he didn't return to Galaxy Villa. Three days had passed without word from him. Skylar's eyes flickered with emotion, but she quickly averted her gaze. Perhaps maintaining their three-year marriage at this distance was for the best. A faint voice, deep inside, reminded her she was being emotional, avoiding something. She tried to downplay her feelings and avoid overthinking. With numerous tasks scheduled for the next few days, she would be busy from morning until night, often working late. She decided to set her concerns aside, dealing with them later.

After a meeting at Martin Group, Paul brought documents needing her signature. For the past three days, Paul had been with Joe. He felt as if he were on a battlefield, though Joe had seemed in good spirits at the hotel that day. The Silver family's drugging incident had been resolved; they would soon face consequences.

Paul had recently learned Joe hadn't returned to Galaxy Villa, staying elsewhere. When he questioned Lucas, Lucas remained tight-lipped. It seemed there was trouble between Joe and Skylar.

Joe finished signing documents. As Paul was leaving, Joe called him back.

"Wait a moment."

Paul's heart skipped a beat. He offered an ingratiating smile. "Is there anything else you need, Mr. Martin?"

"Has Skylar asked about my whereabouts?" Joe's tone was dark and intense.

Paul dared a brief glance before averting his gaze. "No, she hasn't."

The words were barely out before Paul realized his mistake. Joe's expression grew colder.

"Get out." Paul hurried out, fleeing the room.

After escaping Joe's office, Paul hid in the break room, making himself a cappuccino. He contemplated thoughtfully. Suddenly, he had an idea. He quickly texted Skylar:

"Mrs. Martin, the custom traditional dress Mr. Martin ordered for you will be ready this afternoon. Please try it on and check for adjustments. Mr. Martin is truly thoughtful."

Paul knew Skylar would be busy and might not respond immediately, but he was confident she would reply eventually. He was clever. He planned to take Joe to inspect a project near the dress shop that afternoon. Their meeting would be… interesting. He smirked.
