Chapter 620

Skylar was startled to learn Kenny was missing. Her surprise quickly morphed into a cold sneer as she realized the Williams family had escalated their scheme, using Kenny's disappearance for extortion.

"What do you think I did to him?" Skylar asked.

Samuel's voice dripped with hostility. "You're despicable and shameless. You must have scared Kenny into staying away. And given you're Joe's woman, it's clear you used him to harm Kenny. Tell us where he is, or we'll go to the police."

Peter added sternly, "He only saw you yesterday. Now that he's missing, you're the prime suspect. You can't escape this."

The brothers had known about Kenny's meeting with Skylar, counting on him to secure money. They'd eagerly anticipated the funds, hoping for a successful comeback. Kenny's confidence had offered a glimmer of hope; perhaps, as the eldest, he could succeed where they had failed. Their relationship hadn't always been so strained.

They'd waited all night, but Kenny hadn't returned. They'd spent the entire day waiting and calling repeatedly, but his phone remained off. They sensed something was wrong; otherwise, he wouldn't be unreachable.

Skylar regarded their accusations with disbelief, questioning their absurdity.

"Go ahead and call the police. I'm waiting," she said dismissively, immediately starting her car. They tried to stop her, but it was too late.

Infuriated, Samuel shouted, "What a vile person! She's still giving us attitude! She's definitely done something to Kenny. We still don't even know what's happened to him!"

Peter frowned. "It doesn't seem like Skylar knows anything."

"So where could he have gone?" Samuel asked.

"We should report it to the police," Peter decided firmly.

An hour later, they emerged from the police station, confused.

"How could Kenny have gone to Korel City? Where would he get the money for a flight?" Samuel asked.

Peter shook his head. "How should I know? There must be something in Korel City that attracted him. He left without a word."

"Even if Skylar isn't involved, we should still make her pay," Samuel said, greed resurfacing. His expression was malicious; he seemed to envision Skylar surrendering.

Peter furrowed his brow. "Let it go. With Skylar supported by Joe and working for Mr. Gardner Senior, pushing this further might backfire."

"Are we seriously going to let Kenny remain missing? If something happens to him and we're needed, are we just going to turn a blind eye?" Samuel questioned angrily.

"Maybe he'll come back in a couple of days. You should go home and take care of Mom. Don't let her cause a scene," Peter said sternly.

Samuel was dissatisfied. "Why do I feel like you're becoming more timid? How can Skylar be that terrifying? The once confident Peter Williams has turned into a coward."

Peter retorted sternly, "What happened to that brilliant celebrity who used to dazzle in the entertainment industry? Samuel, what have you achieved from your encounters with Skylar?"

Samuel's anger boiled over. He shouted, "Peter!"
