Chapter 866

"I don't know them, but they look like a great match," the staff remarked.

"I do. I think I saw them in a financial news report. The man is Jeremy Hughes, CEO of Hughes Group."

"Damn it! When did Helena get such a powerful backer? They must be traveling together, right?"

Unaware of Natalie's history with Jeremy, the staff openly discussed the situation within her earshot. Natalie followed their gaze to Jeremy and Helena. Helena was speaking to Jeremy; though Natalie couldn't hear their conversation, Helena's gaze was fixed on him. Jeremy looked down at her, their eyes meeting in what seemed like mutual affection. The scene projected an image of a perfect couple.

Hank exchanged a worried glance with Austin. They were concerned for Natalie. Despite their divorce, Natalie and Jeremy had once been close. Witnessing her ex-husband with someone new must be difficult. Austin carefully observed Natalie. She briefly glanced at them before turning away, announcing to her colleagues, "I'm going to the restroom." She felt uncomfortable, likely due to Jeremy's recent outburst in her apartment, and wished to avoid a direct confrontation.

"Alright, go ahead," they replied.

As Natalie walked away, Jeremy's sharp, cold gaze followed her, as if he'd been watching her every move. Hank whispered to Austin, "It looks like Jeremy still can't let go of Natalie."

Austin replied neutrally, "He can't let go, but he's still cheating." His words cut to the core of the issue. Hank rubbed his nose, acknowledging the truth in Austin's statement. Natalie, however, with her strong personality, wouldn't tolerate infidelity. Had she been more accepting, she might still be the pampered Mrs. Hughes.

Emerging from the restroom, Natalie encountered Helena by the sink. Helena seemed unsurprised.

"What a coincidence!" Helena greeted.

Natalie smiled. "Yes, it really is."

"I heard Mr. Powell is heading to Fachington to film. It'll be a few months, right?" Helena inquired.

Their conversation flowed easily, like that of friends. Helena, with her gentle demeanorโ€”a quality that landed her the female lead in a school dramaโ€”possessed a natural charisma that drew people in. Natalie, having met Helena before, found her pleasant.

Natalie nodded. "Yes, I'm not entirely sure about the timing yet. Hank and the film crew manage that. I'm just Mr. Powell's assistant; my job is to take good care of him."

As the former wife of the Hughes Group CEO, she had adapted seamlessly to a normal life, finding satisfaction in her role as an assistant. Her composure suggested genuine contentment in her current circumstances. Helena sensed Natalie's clarity and ease. Remembering Jeremy's earlier demeanor, Helena smiled and said, "I'll be going to Murida with Mr. Hughes first, then to Fachington. If we have the chance, we should meet up."

"Alright," Natalie replied politely. "I'll head out now."

After Natalie left, Helena sighed, wondering if Jeremy was using her. If so, it suggested he held her in high regard.

Paul discovered information about Edwin and Molly's overseas activities. "Molly has frequented a cafรฉ and hotel abroad in recent years. She meets with a Clusian man in his seventies at the cafรฉ and with people of various ages at the hotel."
