Chapter 308
Had Yolanda been responsible for this? Alicia slept through the entire night. When she awoke, her fever had subsided. During the doctor's morning rounds, he explained her condition. "From now on, you need to be more careful. Gentle handling during intimacy is essential for your health. The fever was caused by an inflamed wound that didn't heal properly. It's not serious, but roughness can lead to future gynecological problems." Still groggy, Alicia nodded absentmindedly.
Just then, Caden entered the room. After the doctor left, he sat beside her, setting down breakfast. His face showed faint exhaustion, likely from a sleepless night. Alicia shut her eyes. "Caden, I don't want to see you right now."
He calmly opened the food container, revealing a bowl of nutritious, mildly flavored yet aromatic soup. "You can be upset, but don't starve yourself," he said. Too drained to argue, Alicia remained silent. Caden scooped up a spoonful and held it near her lips. She frowned, clearly impatient. "I can't eat. I feel like I'm going to throw up." She was trying to be polite, avoiding stating that his presence was revolting. Caden understood. Despite her refusal to eat the previous day and her fever all night, she needed nourishment.
"Are you sure you won't eat?" he asked. She turned away. Without warning, Caden took a spoonful of soup himself, grabbed her face, and fed her mouth-to-mouth. Alicia lacked the strength to resist and allowed him to feed her. With each bite, her face flushed, and dizziness overcame her. She felt nauseous. Unable to bear his persistence, she finally relented. "I'll eat by myself later."
Caden sat back, licked the soup from his lips, and scooped another spoonful. "Get up. I'll feed you." She clenched her teeth. "I said I'll eat by myself." Caden ignored her, putting the spoon in his mouth, poised to feed her again. Alicia paused, then changed her tone. "Fine. Just feed me," she muttered, unwilling to prolong the conflict.
