Chapter 459
“I didn’t play with anyone,” she muttered.
“That’s why I came here—so I can play with you.” Caden chuckled softly. “Can’t keep a secret, can you?”
Alicia didn’t reply. She hadn’t intended to deceive him for long, anyway. She was simply delivering snacks and enjoying some banter. But his touch, his voice, his scent… his presence overwhelmed her. For a moment, she wondered who held the true hidden agenda.
Before she knew it, Caden had effortlessly removed her clothes. Alicia cupped his face, straddling him, and admiring his handsome features. He looked even more debonair without his glasses.
“Caden,” she sighed, “You should become a movie star. Then I’d be the world’s richest woman without lifting a finger.”
Caden, well aware of his appeal, gazed at her with a smile. “If I became an actor, would you hire me for the night?”
Alicia wrapped her arms around his neck, tilting her head. “It depends. Are you expensive?”
“Over ten thousand.”
Alicia frowned. “That cheap? Are your services any good?”
“Over ten thousand per minute,” Caden reiterated.
Alicia clicked her tongue. “Are you made of gold, Mr. Ward? That’s six hundred thousand an hour!”
Caden raised an eyebrow. “Oh, but you know how long I last.”
Alicia didn’t—or rather, couldn't know. She only knew he was tireless in bed, leaving her exhausted long before he was satisfied. She considered his hourly rate, her mind drifting to obscene wealth.
“Why don’t I be your manager? You’ll make us both rich,” Alicia suggested, eyes sparkling. “Imagine your earnings working eight hours a day! I’ll take thirty percent, and the rest is yours. What do you think?”
Caden laughed, shaking his head. “But would you hire my services?”
Though playful, his words were tempting. Fortunately, Alicia was prepared. She pulled several bills from her purse and tucked them into his belt. “Of course,” she purred. “But since we’re close, a discount, Mr. Ward?”
Caden glanced at the cash. “Eighty dollars? Even close, I can’t give too much of a discount.”
Alicia burst out laughing. Caden reveled in the sound as he pushed her back onto the desk, about to resume their intimacy when his phone vibrated. The call, from Gerry, interrupted their play. Alicia gasped, her eyes darting to Caden. Only then did he remember Gerry's earlier call about his movie, a call he’d ignored while reviewing documents.
