Chapter 541:

His expression was icy, his patience fraying. โ€œCall Blake immediately and tell him to withdraw his shares and complete the remaining procedures as soon as possible.โ€

Aliciaโ€™s anger flared. โ€œWhen will you stop this, Caden?โ€

His gaze sharpened. โ€œWill you do it or not?โ€

Aliciaโ€™s temper ignited. โ€œNo! You have no right to interfere in my companyโ€™s affairs!โ€

Caden abruptly released her arm, turning and striding toward the study. Knowing he would take drastic measures to remove Blake, Alicia quickly followed. But Caden slammed the door in her face, leaving her standing on the threshold.

She pounded on the door, her cheeks flushed with anger. โ€œCaden! Have you no decency?โ€ The urge to curse bubbled up, but she held back, her heart pounding painfully. All the gallery's executives owed their positions to him; a single call could sway the entire board, and Blakeโ€™s shares could be forcibly removed by tomorrow. With sufficient authority and funds, such an action wouldn't even require Blake's consent.

Moments later, Caden opened the door. Alicia stood rigidly, staring at him. โ€œWhat did you do?โ€

Caden looked down, his gaze as indifferent as stone. โ€œI did exactly what youโ€™re thinking.โ€

Alicia felt her strength drain away. She bit her lip, disappointment etched across her face.

Cadenโ€™s tone hardened. โ€œAlicia, itโ€™s just Blake. Why do you look at me like that?โ€

โ€œWhy did you do that?โ€ Alicia countered, her voice trembling. โ€œDo you want to know why I allowed Mr. Langstaff to join as a shareholder? Because I appreciate his talent and capabilities! Do you have to eliminate everyone who likes me?โ€

Caden sneered coldly. โ€œIโ€™ll deal with anyone who oversteps.โ€

Alicia laughed bitterly. โ€œIn that case, why donโ€™t you deal with Yolanda? Sheโ€™s done enough to deserve serious consequences. Why havenโ€™t you acted with such decisiveness there?โ€

Caden replied, โ€œIf Blake had a father as powerful as hers, heโ€™d stand a fighting chance against me, too.โ€

โ€œIs it really because of Dorian? I think youโ€™re just unwilling to hurt her!โ€ Aliciaโ€™s emotions surged. โ€œOr are you simply incompetent? Is taking your anger out on innocent people your way of venting?โ€

Cadenโ€™s expression darkened. Suddenly, Aliciaโ€™s phone rang. Her chest tightened as she averted her gaze from his almost murderous stare to answer. It was Blake. She realized Caden had already sent someone to persuade him to reconsider.
