Chapter 653: Suddenly, an absurd idea struck Regina. Once it took hold, she couldn't dismiss it. She needed verification, immediately. Already at the hospital, Regina went directly to Yolanda's room. Discreetly collecting a few strands of Yolanda's hair, she secured them and left. Yolanda's eyes followed her. Earlier, Yolanda had feigned sleep, avoiding interaction. But now, with Regina gone, scorn twisted Yolanda's expression. The hypocrisy disgusted her. She sat up, frustration and jealousy towards Alicia intensifying with the day's events. Why did everyone interfere? She had met Caden first! Yolanda wasn't sure if her feelings for Caden stemmed from love, possessiveness, or something darker. What she did know was her objective: separate Caden and Alicia, destroy Alicia, and claim Caden for herself. That was her sole focus.

She called Corey. "Why aren't you here yet?" She'd tasked him with retrieving something crucial, and she was eager to proceed.

Corey responded coldly, "I'm already at the hospital. What's the rush? Even if I hand it over now, can you use it right away?"

"That's not your concern! Just quit the nonsense!" Yolanda snapped.

As Corey ended the call, the elevator doors opened on the seventh floor. He saw Regina nearby. His eyes narrowed; this floor housed testing and research labs. This put Corey on high alert. He stopped the closing elevator doors and stepped out, discreetly following Regina.

Regina, knowing people here, combined her and Yolanda's hair samples and gave them to a familiar face in the testing laboratory. "Please, get me the results quickly, and keep this between us," she said.

The lab staff nodded. "Don't worry, Mrs. Moss."

As the staff began to close the door, a foot stopped it. Surprised, they found Corey. "Mr. Hampton, what brings you here?" The staff, seeing no one else, invited Corey in.

"What did Regina ask you to do just now?" Corey asked. This staff member was one of Corey's contacts; he held an official position but also handled side projects, including confidential paternity tests—including Alicia's previous report.

He told Corey, "She didn't specify whose DNA, just instructed me to inform her of the results promptly."

Corey picked up the two strands of hair. Both were female. Yolanda and Regina's? Or Alicia and Regina's? Unsure, he handed them back.
