Chapter 180

Amber pouted, her hair wiggling as she grumbled, โ€œNo way I was coming back with her. Her bike is so ugly, itโ€™s totally embarrassing! And you have no idea how bad her temper is. Sienna, doesnโ€™t the school have dorms? Can you please make her stay there instead?โ€

Winifred leaned against the doorway, looking as carefree as ever. โ€œI could hear some idiot badmouthing me from a mile away.โ€

โ€œWho are you calling an idiot!โ€ Amber snapped, puffing up in anger as she glared daggers at Winifred.

Winifred replied lazily. โ€œIf you think Iโ€™m talking about you, then I probably am. At least you know yourself well.โ€

โ€œWinifred, youโ€™re so freaking annoying!โ€ Amber yelled.

โ€œLook whoโ€™s talking," Winifred shot back without missing a beat.

Sienna watched as the two kept bickering, until Amber finally lost the battleโ€“pouting and teary-eyed, she ran over to Sienna to complain.

โ€œSienna, Winifred is such a pain! I canโ€™t stand herโ€“sheโ€™s the absolute worst! Sienna, can I sleep with you tonight, please?โ€ Amber pouted, looking all pitiful as she clung to her.

Amber gave her a gentle, doting smile. โ€œOf course.โ€

Winifred shot Amber a look of utter disdain. Seriously? How old is she now, still acting all cutesy and clingy? What, is she gonna die if she sleeps alone? So extra, so take What a childish idiot. Sheโ€™s just hopeless.

โ€˜Almost eighteen and she still needs someone to sleep with her! If I were her, Iโ€™d be mortified. Heck, Iโ€™m embarrassed for her.โ€™

Winifred herself couldnโ€™t stand sharing a bed with anyone. Just the thought of it was annoying as hell.

Seeing Winifred standing there quietly by herself, Sienna asked, โ€œWinifred, do you want to come with us too?โ€

Without even thinking, Winifred blurted out, โ€œYeah.โ€

Amber shot her a look. โ€œSienna, Iโ€™m not used to sharing a bed with people who arenโ€™t family,โ€

Winifred snorted. โ€œGood, because Iโ€™ve never had the habit of sleeping with idiots. So just go back to your own room."

Amber stomped her foot, gritting her teeth in frustration. โ€œWinifred, you should go back to your own room instead!โ€

โ€œJust because you say so? Who put you in charge?" Winifred shot back, a taunting grin on her face.

Her eyes flashed with contempt and scorn, which only made Amber even angrierโ€“her ahoge practically stood on end in fury. Amber practically shouted, โ€œWinifred!โ€

At the Winslow family executive suite, Thorn sat in his wheelchair, eyes sharp and calculating. โ€œSo, have you made up your mind? If this final move works, your family will shoot straight to the top, and the Hart Corporation will be completely crushed beneath your feet."

โ€œAlright, Mr. Nair, Iโ€™ll work with you. But thereโ€™s something I donโ€™t get. As far as I know, you donโ€™t have any grudge against the Hart Corporation, so why are you targeting Sienna?โ€ Henry looked at the man with striking features in front of him, clearly puzzled.

Thorn chuckled. โ€œI might have a grudge against her, or I might not. Thatโ€™s not something you need to worry about, Mr. Winslow. My only condition is that you canโ€™t hurt Sienna.โ€

Henry couldnโ€™t help but ask, โ€œDo you have some kind of relationship with Sienna?โ€

Thornโ€™s lips curled into a sly, almost affectionate smile. โ€œSheโ€™s my wife."

Henry nearly spat out his drink, coughing and gasping for air. โ€œHis wife! Is he pulling my leg?โ€

โ€œRelax, I was just joking, Mr. Winslow. No need to get so worked up," Thorn said with a smirk.

โ€œMr. Nair, that was really creepy. Please, donโ€™t joke around like that againโ€“my heart canโ€™t take it," Henry said, still trying to catch his breath.

Thorn just smiled and kept quiet, wondering, If Sienna really were my wife, I wouldโ€™ve chopped up this old man and fed him to the linh

time ago. No way would I let him stand here, scheming against my dear Hazel.

Still. Thorn always felt that the name Sienna didnโ€™t suit her at allโ€“it sounded too wild, too unrestrained, like she could slip away at any moment. Hazel was so much better, soft and delicate, just like the iris heโ€™d carefully nurtured in his own hands.

After their showers, Amber and Winifred both hugged their pillows and raced straight for Siennaโ€™s room, practically sprinting down the hall only to run into each other right at the doorway.

Amber tried to dart in first, but Winifred just shot her a lazy grin and deliberately stuck out her foot in no hurry at all.

Amber caught her foot and lurched forward, almost falling flat, but Winifred smoothly grabbed her by the back of the collar, hauled her up, and tossed her behind without missing a beat.

โ€œLook at you, canโ€™t even walk straightโ€“are you brainless or what? Seriously, youโ€™re a certified idiot," Winifred mocked.

Amberโ€™s face flushed bright red, her eyes brimming with tears, โ€œWinifred, you vile, shameless jerk! I wish some evil monster could just snatch you up. I canโ€™t stand you!โ€

Amber was still freaked outโ€”just a little more and she wouldโ€™ve faceplanted.

Winifred just shrugged, totally unfazed. โ€œYou talking about me? Sorry, not buying it.โ€

With that, she darted inside and slammed the door with a loud bang.
