Chapter 185

When Hudson saw this little troublemaker, Amber, he immediately had a bad feeling.

“Get out of my way,” Hudson said. Without a hint of chivalry, he placed his hand on her head and shoved her aside.

“Whoa!” Amber stumbled to the left. Quick as lightning, she grabbed Hudson’s pants, and with a loud rip, Hudson performed a live disappearing pants trick right in front of everyone.

Sienna bent down and wrapped her arms around Amber’s waist, steadying her.

“Mr. Grant!” Alex gasped, eyes wide in shock. “This. This is improper.”

“You…” Even with the mask on, you could practically see the flames of rage burning in Hudson’s eyes.

Amber, feeling guilty, tossed the pants aside and jumped in to complain before anyone else could.

“Sister, he’s the one who humiliated me last time. He even insulted our whole family, calling us all idiots and saying we’re just a bunch of brainless pigs,” Amber said.

“Wait, did that girl just call Sienna ‘sister’! She’s Sienna’s little sister?” Hudson thought, stunned.

“Ahem, let’s talk about this later. Hudson, go change your clothes first,” Sienna said, coughing twice and shifting her gaze.

Hudson glanced down and wished the ground would just swallow him up. He felt like he could die from embarrassment right there.

He shot Amber a furious glare, but she avoided his eyes and muttered under her breath, “What are you looking at? It’s not like I did it on purpose. If you hadn’t pushed me, I wouldn’t have grabbed you. That’s what you get for insulting me. Serves you right, Mr. Red Underwear.”

That last jab made Hudson clench his fists as he stormed off. He’d never met a girl who could hold a grudge like that!

‘All I did was say a few words and kick her out. Did she really have to get back at me like this? Besides, this is my zodiac year. What’s wrong with me wearing red? She doesn’t get it at all,' he thought, full of disdain.

“Mr. Grant, over here, over here!” Alex took off her coat and wrapped it around his butt. She helped him make a quick escape from the crowd.

The next second, the elevator doors slid open, and Wayne came face to face with Hudson.

Without a moment’s hesitation, Wayne whipped out his phone and started snapping pictures like crazy.

“Wayne, you geezer, delete those right now!” Hudson yelled.

“Hudson, who knew you were into this kind of thing? That’s a new one?” Wayne teased with a wicked grin.

“Wayne, I’m seriously going to kill you!” Hudson roared.

Half an hour later, Hudson made his way back to the table and sat down with them. By then, he and Amber had kind of made up.

“Sienna, is he really your friend?” Amber asked, looking at Hudson with a skeptical expression.

The more she looked at him, the less she believed it. “How could my sister have such an annoying friend?” she thought.

“Yes, Amber, and you still haven’t apologized to him,” Sienna said, gently stroking her hair.

Amber pouted. “We’re even now.”

Hudson just stared out at the sea, not saying a word.

Sienna received a message—Thorn had unexpectedly shown up.

She glanced at Amber, then stood up. “Hudson, keep an eye on my sister for me, will you? I have something to handle. Make sure she doesn’t wander off—thanks.”

“Sienna, come on, you know I’ve got your back. Just say the word,” Hudson replied.

“Amber, listen up. Stay with Hudson and don’t go wandering off,” Sienna said.

Amber knew Sienna wouldn’t say that for no reason, so she nodded.

Wayne and Miles went downstairs with Sienna, leaving just Amber and Hudson behind.

“Hey! Didn’t you hear what your sister just said?”

As soon as Amber got up, Hudson hurriedly said, “Hey, don’t start acting up."

Before he could finish, Amber yanked off his mask.

Hudson’s pupils suddenly contracted as he found himself staring right into Amber’s enchanting eyes.

“Much better. How do you even breathe with that thing on?” Amber quipped.

Hudson was speechless. If she weren’t Sienna’s own little sister, he’d have strangled her by now.

Amber’s charming eyes shimmered with pure innocence as she studied his face. So this is what he really looks like, she thought.

I thought he’d be ugly, or maybe have some scars. Pfft, totally not worth the hype, she mused, a little surprised.

“Hey, Amby, you still in school or what?” Hudson asked.
