Chapter 188
Sienna picked up a glass of red wine, her eyes icy and utterly devoid of warmth, looking at the man in front of her as if he was already dead to her.
Without a word, she splashed the wine right in his face.
โDidnโt I tell you not to show your face in front of me? Youโve got a death wish?โ she snapped.
Siennaโs presence was downright intimidating, and both Wayne and Miles could feel the pressure. She was absolutely furious.
Thorn wiped the wine from his face. โSweetheart, if it makes you happy, go ahead and throw another glass. Can we talk?โ
Siennaโs voice was ice-cold. โGet lost!โ
As she turned to leave, Thornโs chilling voice cut through the air. โAmber, what a cute name.โ
At that, Siennaโs pupils contracted sharply. She spun around and kicked him hard in the chest.
Thorn crumpled to his knees.
โThorn, do you really think I wonโt kill you?โ Sienna said coldly.
She grabbed his hair and yanked him up.
Thorn sucked in a sharp breath, then suddenly started laughing. โSienna, I know you wonโt. You canโt bear to hurt me, can you? I love you so much. Why wonโt you even look at me?โ
Sienna flung his head away in disgust. Wayne stepped up behind her.
โMr. Noir, whatever you had with Sienna before, sheโs my friend now. Please leave,โ Wayne said firmly.
Thorn slowly got to his feet, coughing a couple of times. โMr. Sinclair, Iโve heard a lot about you. Mr. Quinn, long time no see. But whateverโs between me and her has nothing to do with you two. Mind giving us a little privacy?โ
Thornโs cocky attitude made Wayneโs temper flare.
No matter what history they had, it was obvious Sienna wanted nothing to do with him.
โThornโฆโ Wayne started, but Sienna cut him off.
โWayne, Miles, you probably have things to take care of. Why donโt you go handle them first?โ she said.
โSienna.โ A flash of pain crossed Wayneโs eyes.
Miles knew he shouldnโt stay any longer. He nodded politely and turned to leave.
Thorn caught Wayneโs look right away. โGuess Iโve got some real competition now,โ he thought.
โAlright, Iโll leave you two to talk. Iโll check back in a bit. Sienna, if you need anything, just tell me,โ Wayne said.
โI canโt keep hiding how I feel anymore. Itโs time I finally let her know whatโs in my heart,โ Wayne thought.
โNora was right. I really am a coward,โ he admitted to himself.
Once everyone else had cleared out, Thorn reached out to take Siennaโs hand, but she sidestepped him with practiced ease.
โSienna, youโre only allowed to love me as your man,โ Thorn said possessively.
โThorn, I donโt have time to waste on you. If you so much as lay a finger on my sister, I wonโt hesitate to erase the entire Noir family,โ Sienna said coldly.
โYouโre really ruthless, Sienna. Itโs only been a few months and youโre already siding with outsiders. It hurts, you know,โ Thorn said, his eyes dark.
War twisted occasion.
Why did they have to get her memories back! Why did these people have to steal Hazel away from me? They all deserve to die. Every last one of them, Thorn thought darkly.
โThorn, you know better than anyone that Iโm never going back to the Noir family. If you want the heirโs title, I canโฆโ Sienna began.
Before she could finish, Thornโs eyes went red, and he cut her off, almost frantic. โDo you even hear yourself right now! Hazel, youโre really going to give up that title for these nobodies! Are you out of your mind?โ
