Chapter 281

โ€œSir, according to this woman, Julian is responsible for her losing her child. But one look at her, and I can tell sheโ€™s had multiple miscarriages before. This one was a stillbirth, impossible to save. This is a classic setup to frame him.โ€

Siennaโ€™s words made Bianca lose her cool. โ€œWho are you callingโ€ฆ You little bitch! How dare you say that!โ€

Both Sienna and Julian saw the flicker of panic and shock in Biancaโ€™s eyes.

Awe filled Julian. A sweet warmth spread through his chest as he looked at the woman standing protectively in front of him, just like all those years ago.

He had been a cold, sullen boy, withdrawn into himself. But her arrival in his life had made him feel alive again. Ever since, he had watched her from the sidelines, his world secretly revolving around hers.

โ€œOh, Iโ€™m not guessing,โ€ Sienna said. โ€œIโ€™m certain youโ€™re trying to frame him. Weโ€™re in a hospital, after all. Are you brave enough to let a doctor confirm your condition?โ€

Levi, who had been captivated by Siennaโ€™s beauty, could no longer stay silent. โ€œMiss, this is a family matter. Itโ€™s not your place to get involved. My mother just lost her child. Please donโ€™t upset her further.โ€

Marcus shot a pained look at Bianca. "Thatโ€™s right. This is my familyโ€™s business. It has nothing to do with you. Julian, tell your friend to leave. She has no right to interfere in the Fordsโ€™ affairs."

Sienna let out a cold laugh. Julianโ€™s father had a sliver of a conscience, but he was a fool.

โ€œIโ€™m afraid I have to make it my business. Let me reintroduce myself. Iโ€™m Sienna Hart, the head of Hart Corporation. Mr. Ford, we just finalized a partnership. Have you forgotten so soon?โ€ she said, her tone sharp.

Marcus stared at Sienna, stunned. โ€œYouโ€™re Miss Hartโ€ฆโ€

He deeply admired the head of Hart Corporation, a true titan of the younger generation. Heโ€™d only spoken to her on the phone, but her expertise had far surpassed his own. She was a legend in Vallaris.

โ€œA pleasure to meet you,โ€ Sienna said.

Beside them, Bianca and Levi glared daggers at Julian, their eyes burning with resentment.

Levi, in particular, couldnโ€™t believe it. He knew there was something between Sienna and Julian, but he never imagined the Sienna from ten years ago would become this stunningly beautiful woman, radiating an air of cool, untouchable grace.

Why would a woman with so much power have anything to do with Julian?

โ€œMr. Ford, Julian is my friend,โ€ Sienna said. โ€œAnd since Iโ€™m here, I intend to get to the bottom of this. As for this woman,โ€ she gestured toward Bianca, โ€œI can tell you her body is in poor condition. Why donโ€™t we ask the doctor to weigh in?โ€

Bianca panicked. This woman had appeared out of nowhere and ruined her entire plan. It was infuriating.

โ€œFine,โ€ Marcus said, unable to refuse the new business powerhouse of Vallaris.

โ€œFine! Call the doctors!โ€ Bianca bluffed, glaring at them defiantly.

Sienna smiled faintly. โ€œI was hoping youโ€™d say that. In the interest of fairness, Iโ€™ve already asked the hospital director and the senior specialists to join us."

At her words, the smug look on Biancaโ€™s face froze.

A group of doctors in white coats came rushing toward them. The man in the lead, the hospital director, beamed at the sight of Sienna. โ€œDr. Solis! Weโ€™re so honored. We had no idea you were visiting our hospital today. This is a wonderful surprise.โ€

โ€˜Dr. Solis?โ€™ Not just Julian, but everyone else was momentarily confused. Dr. Solis, the legendary figure in the medical world โ€“ could that be Sienna?

โ€œYes,โ€ Sienna explained calmly. โ€œI studied medicine before I went into business.โ€

Julian wasnโ€™t surprised. He remembered her performing surgery on Thom Noir on the ship.

The head of the Umbra Organization, the mysterious Dr. Solis, the new powerhouse of Vallarisโ€ฆ she was truly incredible.

โ€œDirector, I have some questions about this womanโ€™s condition,โ€ Sienna said. "She recently had a miscarriage, but from my assessment, the fetus was already deceased for more than three days, and she delayed the procedure."

Bianca trembled, her face pale as she tried to argue. โ€œIโ€“I donโ€™t know what youโ€™re talking about. Honey, Iโ€™m scared. Letโ€™s just go home.โ€

Marcusโ€™s face had gone cold. โ€œTell me whatโ€™s going on with her!โ€

Just then, a nervous-looking doctor stepped forward, head bowed, holding a report. โ€œDr. Solis is correct. The fetus passed away four days ago. The patient delayed the surgery, saying she was waiting for the โ€˜rightโ€™ day.โ€

โ€œYou!โ€ Marcus turned on the doctor who had first told him the news. โ€œYou lied to me!โ€

โ€œIโ€™m sorry,โ€ the doctor mumbled, knowing heโ€™d be finished if the full truth came out later.

Sienna continued, โ€œAnd thatโ€™s not all. This womanโ€™s history of miscarriages isโ€ฆโ€

Before Sienna could finish, the doctor blurted out, โ€œYes! It wasnโ€™t the first time. Itโ€™s been nine times! Nine! Thatโ€™s why she could never carry a child to term!โ€

โ€œNine times!โ€ Marcusโ€™s shock gave way to pure, unadulterated rage.

Nine times. How could there be nine?

โ€œNo! Itโ€™s not true, darling, listen to me! They misdiagnosed me, yes, a misdiagnosis!" Bianca cried, reaching for his arm.

He violently shook her off. โ€œYou wretched woman! Nine times! Youโ€™ve had nine miscarriages and lied to my face!โ€ He had been played for a complete fool.

โ€œAnd the first three were abortions,โ€ the doctor added meekly. โ€œAfter that, she started miscarrying naturally. I told her that in her condition, it was impossible to keep a child, but sheโ€ฆโ€

โ€œBitch!โ€ Marcus roared, his patience gone. He slapped her hard across the face, sending her crumbling to the floor, sobbing pitifully.

Any explanation she had was now useless.

Before today, heโ€™d never imagined Bianca had gone through nine pregnancies.

Nine. He had been cuckolded.

It was unforgivable.

โ€œMr. Ford, I believe you owe Julian an apology,โ€ Sienna said, her voice cutting through the drama.

Marcus was filled with guilt. He looked at Julian, his eyes full of regret. โ€œJulian, Iโ€™m so sorry. I was wrong. This had nothing to do with you, and I blamed you for everything. Donโ€™t worry, the Ford estate is yours.โ€

Julianโ€™s expression remained neutral. โ€œWhere is the thing you promised me?โ€

โ€œThe butler is on his way. You can get it from him.โ€

Marcus no longer knew if Levi was even his biological son. After a few polite words of thanks to Sienna, he grabbed a resentful Levi and dragged him upstairs for a paternity test.
