Chapter 35

โ€œMiss Enra, the resignation paperwork is prepared for your approval,โ€ she announced and then hesitated.

Sienna leaned back on the sofa, flipping through the documents without even glancing up. โ€œGo on.โ€

Reno gritted her teeth, barely holding back her anger. โ€œThose snobs say they want their old boss back. If not, theyโ€™re leaving too. Theyโ€™re just trying to mess with you.โ€

Sienna didnโ€™t even blink. โ€œLet them go. Approve them all.โ€

Reno frowned. โ€œBut Miss Enra, theyโ€™re really going too far.โ€

Sienna smirked. โ€œLeaving is easy. Coming back? Not so simple.โ€

Reno got what Sienna meant right away. She grabbed the files, her eyes lighting up. โ€œMiss Enra, I got it. Iโ€™ll take care of it right now.โ€ Sienna nodded.

Sophie was seeing red. First, Vivian Hart had her brother hauled to the police station. Then her mother got hit with a public nuisance complaint after storming to the Hartsโ€™ place. To top it all off, Aiden Hart dared to rip into her father over the phone.

So she called in every favor and severed all of Hart Corporationโ€™s deals. She had expected the Harts to come begging by now, but there was nothing but deafening silence from their end.

A steady stream of partners flooded into Hart Corporation to cancel deals, yet Sienna didnโ€™t even blink. She offered no last-ditch negotiations and made no desperate pleas, simply processing each termination with the same ease as assigning birthday cards.

The departing partners watched with bated breath, certain she would crumble as their exits piled up. To their astonishment, she turned the tables, leaving every one of them questioning their decision.

Sophie slammed her fist on the desk and yanked her assistant closer. โ€œWhat? Hart Corporation wonโ€™t back down? They would rather lose everything than give in? Check again! If theyโ€™re really this stupid to challenge us, let them crash and burn!โ€ The terrified assistant scrambled away, trembling.

โ€œMiss Quinn, forget Hart Corporation for now. Tonightโ€™s what really matters. After all your effort in reaching Lana, this is our chance,โ€ her advisor urged in a low voice.

Sophieโ€™s anger vanished in a flash, replaced by a sharp gleam in her eyes. โ€œIf we can get SIE Corporation to partner directly with us, cutting out Quinn Group entirely, we wonโ€™t be Junior Quinn anymore. Weโ€™ll replace them for good!โ€

Sophieโ€™s eyes burned with even greater ambition. โ€œMake sure everything is perfect. They donโ€™t know what weโ€™re planning.โ€ Her command was met with instant, unquestioning compliance.

Hart Corporation was on its last legs after two-thirds of the staff had quit, yet Sienna sat perfectly still, completely unshaken.

Lana wouldโ€™ve been just as calm. Reno wasnโ€™t like that. She paced like a caged animal, dying to know Siennaโ€™s plan to turn things around. Finally, Sienna looked up. โ€œReno,โ€ she said, her voice steady. โ€œOut with it.โ€

โ€œMiss Enra, how can you stay so calm? Junior Quinn Group is coming for us. Let me handle them,โ€ Reno snapped.

Sienna let out a weary sigh. โ€œAfter all your years in Meridia, you still havenโ€™t learned patience.โ€

Reno instantly deflated, fiddling with her fingers. โ€œSorry, Miss Enra. I let you down.โ€ Then she glanced up cautiously, finding no anger in Siennaโ€™s expression, so she straightened up again. โ€œJust say the word. Whatโ€™s our next move?โ€

Sienna pushed the files away with a dismissive gesture. โ€œWe wait. Thereโ€™s still one key player missing.โ€

Before Reno could ask, a knock came at the door. โ€œMiss Reno, the CEO of Harold Group is here to discuss the partnership.โ€ Sienna smiled, as if everything was going exactly as planned.

Reno immediately understood and went to greet the guest. A young man with silver-dyed hair strode in, sizing her up with clear contempt.

Without waiting, he dropped into a chair, legs casually crossed. Picking at his teeth, he barely looked at her. โ€œNo tea. The Harolds are done with the Haris.โ€ He slapped a document on the table. โ€œSign this termination now.โ€ Clearly, he had mistaken Reno for Sienna, Hartโ€™s new CEO.

Reno ignored him, calmly pouring tea instead. The man scowled. โ€œHey, Iโ€™m talking to you!โ€

โ€œIs this termination your fatherโ€™s decision?โ€ A cold voice cut through the room. The man spun around and froze. His mouth went slack at the sight of Sienna.

Renoโ€™s hand smashed down on the table. โ€œMiss Enra is waiting for an answer.โ€ Her glare pinned him in place.

Chris Harold jolted back to reality, his face flushing with anger at the assistantโ€™s audacity. โ€œWhat difference does it make?โ€ he spat. โ€œThe deal is over.โ€

Sienna settled into her chair, taking a sip of the fragrant tea. โ€œI donโ€™t repeat myself,โ€ she said, her voice calm but edged with steel.

Reno leaned in, glaring. โ€œAnswer, is this your fatherโ€™s call!โ€

A shadow of unease flickered across Chrisโ€™s face, but then came the familiar arrogance. โ€œOf course. As his son, I speak for him.โ€

Siennaโ€™s eyes darkened for a moment. โ€œUnderstood,โ€ she said, her voice tinged with disappointment. Reno frowned, unable to comprehend Miss Enraโ€™s patience with Harold Group.

Chris swaggered out with a smug grin. Hart Corporationโ€™s last remaining partnership had just crumbled.

Reno slipped into the restroom to look up the Harold Groupโ€™s history. They had been Hart Corporationโ€™s founding partners since Siennaโ€™s motherโ€™s era.

While most of those early allies had cut ties over time, the Harold Group had stayed on. Now, with their business thriving, Reno couldnโ€™t understand why they suddenly walked away.

Returning, Reno hesitated. โ€œMiss Enra, should I approach Harold Group personally? Chris is just a figurehead. The real authority lies with his father.โ€

Sienna picked up the contract, pausing at Charles Haroldโ€™s name for a beat before sliding it into the files. โ€œNo need,โ€ she stated evenly.
