Chapter 375

“Vivian, trust me on this. Let’s put our money on this one,” Nathan said with confidence.

Vivian’s expression grew serious. “But this company’s been losing money for three years in a row. Are you really sure about this?”

Nathan picked up a grape and popped it into her mouth, then tossed one into his own. “Need me to break it down for you?”

Vivian’s eyes sparkled. “Mr. Winslow, go ahead.”

Meanwhile, Alex noticed that Mr. Grant’s mood had been as unpredictable as the weather lately, swinging from sunshine to storm in the blink of an eye. One second he was fine, the next he was snapping at people for no reason.

Is he having a midlife crisis or something? Alex wondered. But he’s not even that old yet, is he?

“Mr. Grant, the Quinn family is hosting a party tonight, and Miss Amber might show up,” Alex said carefully.

Hudson sat there with a frosty look, eyes closed, but the moment he heard that, his eyes flew open.

“Did I ask you? Where she goes has nothing to do with me.”

Alex was speechless. Weren’t you the one who told me to check in the first place? Alex grumbled inwardly.

“Is Jaxon going to be there too?” Hudson asked, his eyes narrowing coldly.

Alex replied honestly, “Yes.”

With a sharp smack, Hudson slapped the table and shot to his feet. “Get ready. The Quinn family invited us. If we don’t go, it’ll make me look petty."

“Yes, sir.” Alex was speechless. Mr. Grant, isn’t this all just because of Miss Amber?

Meanwhile, at the Hart residence, the three sisters ate the meals Julian cooked for them every day. With him being so kind and showing no hostility at all, any little schemes or mischief they might have had just melted away.

Sienna took care of them, but no one ever took care of her.

“Sienna, I’ve got something to take care of tonight, so I can’t keep you company,” Julian said as he ladled her a bowl of soup.

“Okay,” Sienna replied.

After dinner, Sienna lounged in the yard, basking in the sun while Lana updated her on the latest happenings at the various companies.

“Miss Enna, one more thing. It’s about Miss Vivian. The company she and Nathan started is on a pretty good track right now. There are a few minor hiccups, though. Should I step in and handle them?” Lana asked.

Sienna waved her off. “No need. If they want to take a shot at it, let them go all out. They should have the chance to prove themselves.”

“Yes.”

“How are things going in Meridia?” Sienna asked.

“Everything’s normal. Thorn came back to the country today,” Lana replied.

Sienna’s eyes flickered. “Alright. Amber’s heading to the Quinn family tonight. I won’t be going. Go with her, and have Reno look into Hudson’s background. I want all records from the past few years.”

With that, Sienna closed her eyes, soaking up the sun, her breathing growing calm and steady.

Sienna had barely closed her eyes when Elisa came rushing in.

“Miss Sienna, Miss Sienna, there’s a woman outside named Paige. She claims to be your father’s sister and wants to see you. She’s already been here several times,” Elisa said, a little out of breath.

Sienna frowned. “Paige?”

“Yes.”

“Let her in.”

When Paige stepped into the Hart residence, she was immediately hit with the overwhelming scent of money. Everything was so lavish. The fish alone probably cost tens of thousands, and even the flowers were rare, expensive varieties.

She thought, Those clueless idiots who’ve been ignoring me for so long? I’m going to make sure Sienna really puts them in their place. Especially the ones at her company who even had the nerve to treat me like a con artist and throw me out.

Fire them all.

“You wanted to see me?” A cool, distant voice rang out.

Paige spun around and saw a woman in white reclining on a lounge chair.

She’s gorgeous. Even more beautiful than Selina was back in her prime, Paige thought.

Sienna opened her eyes, and the sharp, icy look she gave was like a blade, making Paige’s heart skip a beat in fear.

Paige gulped, panic flickering in her eyes.

“Sienna, I’m your aunt,” Paige announced.

Sienna closed her eyes. “Why are you here?”

Despite her nerves, Paige pushed forward. She had to look out for herself, and honestly, she was actually here to help Sienna out.

“I’m a little strapped for cash right now, so why don’t you lend me some money? I know Hart Corporation is loaded, and I’m not asking for much. Just thirty million."

“And hey, it’s not for nothing. I’ll even set you up with a guy. He’s a manager at SIE Corporation, one of the big companies,” Paige said.
