Unrepairable Love

Chapter 392

Alexander still went to the hospital. Amanda said Gabriel might have been roughed up in prison, and he was in bad shape. Alexander barged into the ward, and all the machines hooked up to Gabriel were gone. Gabrielโ€™s hand dangled off the bed, his eyes practically begging Alexander for help. Gabriel wanted to say something, but he couldnโ€™t get a word out.

Alexander knew Gabriel was done for; keeping him alive this long was already a favor! Alexander leaned in, his eyes dark and intense. โ€œGabriel, one last time. Was it Esme who saved me back then?โ€ Gabrielโ€™s eyes started to glaze over. His lips moved, but Alexander couldnโ€™t catch it; Gabrielโ€™s voice was too weak.

Out of nowhere, Gabriel grabbed Alexanderโ€™s arm and traced a letter on his palm. Alexander frowned. โ€œE? E for Esme?โ€ he pressed. Gabriel kept drawing. Just as Alexander was about to ask more, Gabrielโ€™s eyes darted to the door. Following his gaze, Alexander saw Elizabeth. Gabriel clung to Alexanderโ€™s sleeve. Alexander looked back at Gabriel, and the next second, Gabrielโ€™s eyes shut, and he let go.

Seeing Alexander, Elizabeth was more convinced that Gabriel had kidnapped him and orchestrated her stabbing. โ€œWhatโ€™s Alexander doing here, saying goodbye to Gabriel?โ€ Elizabeth wondered. Doctors and nurses came in to deal with Gabrielโ€™s body. Alexander stepped back, grabbed Elizabeth, and had something to say.

Suddenly, Nolan burst in, โ€œMr. Tudor, thereโ€™s an emergency meetingโ€”โ€

โ€œDelay it.โ€ Alexander walked out with Elizabeth. โ€œTut, an option.โ€ Nolan handed his phone to Alexander, showing a call from a shareholder. Nolan glanced at the bed; Gabriel was already covered with a white sheet. Elizabeth pushed Alexander away, feeling uneasy.

โ€œElizabeth, Iโ€™ll find you after this,โ€ Alexander said to her. Then he looked at Nolan, his voice low, โ€œBack to the company.โ€

Nolan nodded. On the way, Alexander kept tracing the letter Gabriel had written on his palm. At a red light, Alexander said to Nolan, โ€œGive me your hand. Iโ€™ll write the letter, you guess.โ€ Nolan, confused, still extended his hand. Alexander mimicked Gabrielโ€™s writing.

Nolan looked up, โ€œE? Mr. Tudor, you asked who saved you, and he gave you an answer?โ€ Alexander grunted. Clearly, he wasnโ€™t happy with it. โ€œAfter all this time, itโ€™s always Ms. Russell; maybe it really is her.โ€ Nolan stared into the distance.

Alexander rubbed his brow, looking worn out. โ€œMr. Tudor, if this meeting doesnโ€™t solve it, you might have to go in person,โ€ Nolan said. Alexander stayed silent. Nolan reminded him, โ€œMr. Tudor, can you handle it? You need to take care of your wound.โ€

โ€œYeah.โ€ Alexander closed his eyes.

Why E? For a moment, Alexander wished Gabriel hadnโ€™t written E.
