Chapter 564
Alexander looked down and said, โIf cursing me makes you feel better, go for it.โ He figured Elizabeth wouldnโt mind letting off some steam by cursing him. In fact, he thought about how much it mustโve hurt her when he used to treat her like that.
โCursing you is too much work; hitting you would be more satisfying,โ Elizabeth sneered.
He then lifted his head and met her eyes, saying, โGo ahead.โ
Elizabeth paused. Alexander was a man of great pride. The Alexander she remembered would never have said something so straightforward.
โGo ahead with what? Letting me hit you?โ Elizabeth stepped closer, looking into his eyes.
He nodded, still looking at her, not intending to look away. Did he really think she was so shallow that she could be easily appeased? But she wouldnโt hit him. She wanted him to feel constant guilt. To make him endure all the suffering she had gone through over the years. If her days were tough, his days wouldnโt be any better.
โI donโt care,โ Elizabeth sneered coldly, pushing Alexander away to leave the dance floor.
Alexander chuckled softly. Elizabethโs emotions were better than none. At least she was still vibrant, and she was still angry at Alexander. As long as she is angry, it is a good thing, Alexander thought.
Alexander immediately grabbed Elizabethโs waist and pulled her back. โThe dance isnโt over.โ He was incredibly calm.
Elizabeth almost wanted to curse. โI donโt want to dance with you?โ
โThen who do you want to dance with, Ivan?โ he asked.
Elizabeth was furious. โNone of your business!โ Her temper is getting worse, Alexander thought.
โWhat time do you usually get off work?โ he asked.
Elizabeth was annoyed and said, โLet go, Iโm not dancing anymore.โ
โFrom now on, Iโll wait for you at the lab entrance every evening at xโthirty,โ he said to himself, ignoring what Elizabeth said. โElizabeth, on weekends, we can have dinner and watch movies together. From now on, all my time is yours. Whatever you want me to do with you, Iโll do. Okay?โ He looked into Elizabethโs eyes, almost to the point of being immersed.
Chapter 564
Elizabeth was frustrated. Couldnโt he understand what she was saying?
โAlexander, I donโt want to have anything to do with you anymore, do you understand?โ Elizabeth was really annoyed! There were many people here, and she didnโt want to make things too awkward with Alexander.
Out of the corner of her eye, she saw Ivan looking her way. But the light was on Ivan, so it was darker on her side. He probably couldnโt see what was happening here.
Alexander noticed Elizabethโs resistance. His hand holding her wrist was constantly being pushed away. Alexanderโs mind calmed down a bit. He directly pulled Elizabeth out of the dance floor.
Elizabeth couldnโt resist him and had to follow him. She didnโt know where Alexander was taking her, but the corridor was very dim. When they reached the end, he pressed her against the wall, his body leaning in.
Elizabeth suddenly felt fear. Her back was against the wall, and she was anxious. It was too dark around; she couldnโt even see his face. His hand gripped her wrist, and he lowered his voice, gritting his teeth. โElizabeth, Iโm serious. You better be serious too.โ
Elizabeth was terrified. โIs this how you pursue someone? Alexander, if you pursue me like this, I wonโt be with you in this lifetime!โ
Alexander raised an eyebrow, his breath falling on her lace in the darkness. He just said, โOkay.โ
It made Elizabethโs heart tingle.
