“Elizabeth, you’re so nice. I really like you,” Ivan said, following Beland and Elizabeth with a bit of a whiny tone.

Elizabeth glared at him and said, “Ivan, I don’t like men who whine.”

Ivan sighed. “Elizabeth, don’t be so straightforward.”

Elizabeth smiled at him. “Then find a woman who isn’t straightforward.”

“No way, they’re not named Elizabeth,” Ivan raised an eyebrow, his lips curling into a smug smile.

Elizabeth just glanced at him and went to find Lila.

Not far away, Kieran looked at Ivan and mocked, “Pathetic.”

Beside him, Alexander was very displeased about Ivan trying to charm Elizabeth.

The worst part was, after trying to charm Elizabeth, Ivan had the nerve to come back and greet Alexander.

“Alexander, you’re here,” Ivan said, sitting next to Kieran and grabbing a drink.

Alexander squinted, unsure of what tone to use when speaking to Ivan.

Kieran sat between them, sensing the inexplicable tension emanating from both of them. In the end, he was still stuck in the middle!

Kieran cleared his throat, not wanting to get involved in their complicated feelings. So, he quietly moved to Alexander’s right side, not sitting next to either of them.

Now Alexander and Ivan could face each other. Who knew, when Ivan went to get a drink, he sat down again on Kieran’s right side.

Ivan asked Alexander, “Alexander, you won’t be upset if I pursue Elizabeth, right?”

Kieran, stuck between them, was speechless.

Alexander looked coldly at Ivan, his grip on his glass tightening.

Just when Kieran thought Alexander was about to lose it and was about to intervene, he heard Alexander laugh and say, “Not at all.”

Kieran immediately pouted. Was it true that Alexander said he wouldn’t be upset?

Alexander looked ahead, his voice a bit colder. “Succeeding in pursuing her is what matters. What do you think, Ivan?”

He wasn’t as magnanimous as Kieran had imagined.

Ivan swirled his wine glass and lazily said, “I’m quite confident in myself. After all, I don’t have any past offenses.” He took a sip of his drink and looked at Alexander again.

“So what? The result is what matters,” Alexander said indifferently.

Kieran was simply shocked that they didn’t realize what’s wrong between them.

“Seriously, Alexander. You didn’t cherish Elizabeth when you were with her, and now you want to pursue her, but she doesn’t like you anymore. Ivan, you too. There are so many women in the world, but you just have to like Elizabeth. With you two like this, can we still be friends?” Kieran stomped his foot in frustration.

Alexander and Ivan looked at Kieran, neither saying a word. Kieran’s expression was complicated.

“Feelings are hard to control. I just know I like Elizabeth, so I’m going to pursue her,” Ivan said, looking at Alexander, “Elizabeth may be Alexander’s ex-wife, but she’s also Elizabeth.”

He thought, ‘He had the right to pursue Elizabeth. Just because he was Alexander’s friend, did that mean he couldn’t pursue Elizabeth?’
