“Mr. Watson, Ms. Parker, would you mind taking a photo together?” someone approached and asked softly. The two nodded. “Sure.” Everyone attending today’s banquet had status and prestige; taking a group photo was expected. Seeing this, Elizabeth went to find a corner to entertain herself. She came here today mainly to ascertain Kieran’s intentions. Lila was a carefree person, and unless someone directly told her they liked her, she wouldn’t notice.
Alexander and Ivan noticed Elizabeth sitting down, and both seemed eager. Elizabeth could feel two pairs of eyes staring at her intensely. Funny enough, how could they think Alexander needed a rich woman to give him money? Later, Elizabeth found out it was all rumors spread by jealous men. Men’s jealousy is not much different from women’s. Unexpectedly, the woman was still in contact with Alexander.
If she was single, she probably still had feelings for Alexander. After all, he was now more mature, stable, and powerful than he was in college. She sat next to Elizabeth and followed her gaze, seeing Alexander chatting with a woman. “That woman is Magnolia Belle, the founder of Opulent Crest Jewelry, right?” Elizabeth tilted her head. “What?” She only knew the woman was wealthy and older than Alexander, but she didn’t know what she did or her name. “It’s her,” Lila confirmed. “Opulent Crest Jewelry is very famous.” Elizabeth was still a bit surprised. “It has been collaborating with the Tudor Group’s jewelry division recently. Didn’t you know?” Lila asked Elizabeth.
Elizabeth shook her head silently. She had been spending all her time at the research institute lately, and she couldn’t keep up with these things. Lila propped her face and tilted her head, asking, “Elizabeth, are you really planning to stay at that research institute forever? If you ignore the business world, what will happen to Declan’s company in the future?”
