Chapter 719

Natalia looked up and said, “I’m quite surprised too. I always thought she…”

She had always thought that Elizabeth was just a useless pretty woman who only thought about love. But unexpectedly, Elizabeth had hidden depths.

“Do you get along well?” Elliot asked again.

“What makes you think that?” Natalia asked with a helpless smile.

Elliot thought for a moment and said very seriously, “She was very protective of you just now.”

Speaking of which, Elizabeth had said she would give Natalia the five-billion-dollar jewelry. Didn’t that mean she loves Natalia very much?

Natalia didn’t dare to speak, for she didn’t know if Elizabeth loved her. She only knew that she didn’t have the Percy family’s blood in her. But the Percy family treated her very well.

Meanwhile, Blair, after learning that Elizabeth knew Kennedy, was like a deflated balloon, completely enveloped in gloom. She didn’t know what to say, and the onlookers around her all lowered their heads.

Someone said, “Weren’t you going to do the thing you just promised? Are you still going to do it?”

Everyone exchanged glances and laughed. The atmosphere seemed to improve a bit, but most people had their own thoughts.

When Elizabeth came out, she saw a black Pagani parked at the entrance. She raised an eyebrow at the license plate; she didn’t need to look inside to know it was Alexander.

“Mr. Tudor,” Elizabeth said, standing by the car as the door automatically opened. “What’s up?”

Alexander appearing here must mean he was waiting for her, and she didn’t bother to beat around the bush with him.

“Get in the car,” Alexander said.

“I have things to do at the research institute,” Elizabeth said.

Alexander was silent for a moment, then said, “Just get in first.”

“No,” Elizabeth shook her head and took two steps back.

Alexander looked at her, his eyes complicated. She didn’t even want to get in his car.

Alexander sighed and didn’t force her, instead saying, “Don’t forget our agreement.”

Elizabeth smiled. “That’s just Mr. Tudor’s one-sided agreement. I haven’t decided whether to go or not.” Until she decided to go, it was all his one-sided agreement.

Alexander then chuckled lightly, tapping the steering wheel casually. “Winter, it’s really cold.”

Elizabeth was silent. She could hear the sarcasm in his words.

“If you’re afraid of the cold, don’t wait for me. You might catch a cold, Mr. Tudor.” Then she walked away.

Alexander watched her departing figure, feeling both amused and helpless. Elizabeth had come in her purple Pagani today, which looked really cool. And she was a very skilled driver.

As Alexander watched her car leave, his phone rang. Nolan called. “Mr. Tudor, there’s an issue at the company. Please return quickly.”

Alexander replied, “Alright. Cancel all the meetings tonight; I have plans.”

Nolan continued, “Mr. Tudor, the company resumed normal operations this afternoon. There’s a lot of work to handle. Are your plans tonight very important? We have a video conference with our international partners to reassure them. Should we cancel it?”

Alexander looked up, his tone calm. “I’m going to see Elizabeth.”

Nolan froze. Although it wasn’t the best time for Alexander to see Elizabeth, he believed Alexander’s considerations.

“Got it.” Nolan didn’t say anything more and hung up.

Alexander’s eyes were deep. Work was important, but right now, Elizabeth was more important.
