Unrepairable Love

Chapter 744

Elizabeth took off her clothes and lay by the bed. She felt Celine's presence, coiled and poised near her. Thara looked at Elizabeth, her eyes filled with an indescribable tenderness. The naturally knew how good firatieth, and Alexander, who once recognized Ellabell's worth, lost her in the process.

Back then, when Elizabeth wanted to marry into the Tudor family, nothing could stop her, which showed just how much she loved them. Unfortunately, Alexander made Elizabeth lose tremendously. Thinking about those days made Celine feel sad for Elizabeth.

How could the cherished treasure of the Percy family seem so unworthy in Alexander's eyes?

โ€œElara, you need to pay more attention to Lily. If you need my help, Iโ€™ll give it my all,โ€ Elizabeth said to Elara with a smile. Elara nodded, feeling much more at ease with Elizabethโ€™s words. Elara knew Elizabeth had something to discuss with Celine, so she tactfully greeted them and left.

The room quieted down. Elizabeth picked up some fruit and asked Celine, โ€œWhat did Elara talk to you about?โ€

Celine smiled. โ€œWhat else? Of course, it was about the Tudor familyโ€™s guilt towards you over the years. I donโ€™t like hearing it.โ€

Elizabeth looked at Celine with interest and couldnโ€™t help but smile. โ€œGrandma, how could you not like hearing that? I suffered so much in the Tudor family, and now they feel guilty in front of you. You should enjoy hearing it. After all, Iโ€™ve finally made a comeback.โ€

Celine snorted. โ€œYou know you suffered in the Tudor family! But you still stayed in the Percy family for three years. I really donโ€™t know what you were thinking! You should have divorced Alexander long ago.โ€

Elizabeth held the apple in her hand, initially intending to give it to Celine. But feeling guilty and ashamed by Celineโ€™s words, she ended up eating it herself. She was a gambler. She always thought she could win.

Elizabeth sighed, biting the apple, and mumbled, โ€œAlright, Grandma, letโ€™s not talk about the past. Havenโ€™t I come to my senses now?โ€

โ€œYou came to your senses too late. You hurt yourself so much before realizing it! How can a modern woman let herself suffer so much? You should have cut ties immediately!โ€

Elizabeth nodded emphatically, indicating she understood.

โ€œGrandma, Iโ€™m here to talk to you about the Serenity Leaf project,โ€ Elizabeth said, opening her iPad.

Celine was surprised. โ€œWhat do you mean? Is there new progress?โ€

Elizabeth nodded. When she showed the data to Celine, Celineโ€™s eyes welled up with tears.

Celine flipped through the data, her eyes filled with disbelief. The success rate was actually BR%.

โ€œThereโ€™s no problem with the Serenity Leaf extraction. The SH28 project will soon have new progress,โ€ Elizabeth said, looking at Celine with admiration in her eyes. โ€œGrandma, I finally understand how hard youโ€™ve worked.โ€

Celine sighed. โ€œSome things just need to be done. Whatโ€™s hard or not hard about it? There are many people who have it tougher than us, like firefighters and narcotics officers. Those on the front lines, arenโ€™t they facing more difficulties than us?โ€

Celine lay on the bed, looking at her immobile arm, feeling ashamed. She had hoped to contribute to the country, but now she couldnโ€™t do anything and had become a burden to her family. Celine wasnโ€™t just sad; she was deeply sorrowful. She appeared nonchalant in front of her family, but she had been suffering from insomnia for a long time. No one saw her secretly wiping her tears, and she wouldnโ€™t allow anyone to see it.

โ€œGrandma, I will definitely complete the SH2N project. I wonโ€™t let your years of effort go to waste. Trust me,โ€ Elizabeth said, holding Celineโ€™s hand.

Celine smiled at Elizabeth, feeling for the first time that Elizabeth had truly grown up and matured.

โ€œElizabeth, youโ€™re growing up,โ€ Celine couldnโ€™t help but sigh.

โ€œGrandma, I used to do a lot of things that worried and troubled you. I wonโ€™t do that anymore,โ€ Elizabeth said obediently.

She would become the pride of her grandparents and her parents.
