Chapter 339

But the fantasy crashed hard against reality. Shermaine moved with cheetah-like agility, her explosive strength insane. Maybe being a doctor gave her an edge in targeting pressure points. Every time Kylie attacked, Shermaine dodged as if toying with her. She caught Kylieโ€™s fist mid-swing and twisted until bones popped. Kylieโ€™s face contorted in pain; she swung her other hand, but Shermaine pinned that too.

โ€œThis weak? How the hell did you become a hitman?โ€ The mockery dripped from Shermaineโ€™s voice.

Kylie flushed crimson and tried to knee her in the gut, but Shermaine released her. Kylie stumbled back as Shermaine landed a flying kick, sending her careening over desks. She rolled twice before slamming onto the floor.

Meanwhile, Roy stopped his nosebleed and left the bathroom to find people stampeding out with armed foreign men. Roy wasnโ€™t some pushover; everyone from their academy had combat training. These goons were clearly part of the hit squad. Roy spotted bombs stashed in the cornerโ€”a cold-blooded move. They planned to blow the place sky-high. He had to take them down and disarm the explosives.

Klaus arrived to find Kylie facedown, Shermaineโ€™s boot on her back. Furious, he thought, โ€˜No one touches my girl.โ€™ He charged Shermaine.

Molly instantly recognized Klausโ€”a top assassin for the Dark Organization. โ€˜So theyโ€™re gunning for Shermaine?โ€™ she wondered. โ€˜No, upper brass wouldnโ€™t green-light a messy op like this.โ€™ This had to be Klaus playing hero, using his hit squad to impress the two-timing Kylie.

But a top assassin? Shermaine could handle that. When Molly noticed Klausโ€™s knuckle dusters had spikes, she tossed her combat knife.

Molly said, โ€œIโ€™ll go check whatโ€™s happening outside.โ€

Shermaine caught the blade and gave a small nod. She rolled her neck. โ€œYouโ€™ve got a lover here in Ustrana, but back home you were hitting on my man. โ€˜Two-timing slutโ€™ is too nice for you, Kylie.โ€

Kylie grabbed her throat; Shermaineโ€™s earlier choke had left her shaken. Hearing the insult, she yelled, โ€œKlaus, donโ€™t believe her lies!โ€

โ€œDonโ€™t worry, Kylie,โ€ Klaus said. โ€œOne stupid comment wonโ€™t change how I feel about you.โ€

โ€œOh, really?โ€ Shermaine strolled to the podium and tapped the screen. โ€œThen take a look at this. I found some very interesting photos on Kylieโ€™s phone and computer.โ€

Kylieโ€™s face went white. Her phone was encrypted; no regular hacker could get in. But Shermaine wasnโ€™t just any hacker. She was a tech legend, always one step ahead in data work, and even able to implant advanced tech.

Soon, explicit photos and sleazy audio started playing. The people hiding under the desks cringed. Despite their progressive attitudes, they still valued integrity and romance. The idea of being objectified was unacceptable; it was disgusting, and worst of all, Kylie had been after more than one person.

Of course, Kylie had disrespected Joshua. Once Shermaine found that out, she couldnโ€™t do nothing. Honestly, just seeing it made her angry, so this was her payback.

Klausโ€™s expression kept changing. Finally, furious, he slapped Kylie hard. โ€œKylie, youโ€™re such a goddamn whore!โ€
