Shu had thought of several possible reactions from Bennett. He might give her a cold and polite smile with a hidden meaning. Or he would mock and ridicule her. He maybe would heat her up to vent his anger. Contrary to every scenario, Bennett greeted her kindly. She never expected this. He was acting even more friendly than her.

Bennett held Noelle for a long moment before he let go of her. Then, he smiled gently and patted Noelle’s head like a loving brother. He asked, “Noelle, I haven’t been back for so long. Did you miss me?”

Noelle was stunned upon hearing this. ‘Oh my god! Was everyone familiar with Bennett? Why is he talking like we were very close?’
