Chapter 190

Klasiked looked at Bennett in confusion. “What’s wrong? Bemien—"

Behind Bennett was another car; it was the Muderson's, Emily’s car, and the driver was Adum.

Bennett smiled gently and said, “Leia, go abroad and sit in Adam’s car. I hurt Noelle’s hand, and I think it’s safer to take her to the hospital for a checkup. We’re worried we might not make it in time later, so you should head to school first.”

Hub, “When Leithe heard this, she felt a little depressed. Why does Bennett want to send Noelle to the hospital?” She hoped Noelle’s hand would just be crippled. “What’s wrong! Is there a problem?”

Bennett continued to smile. This smile was extremely gentle. However, under Bennett’s smiling gaze, Leia couldn’t shake the uneasy feeling in her chest. For some reason, she felt a bit scared. She didn’t want to disobey him, so she reluctantly agreed, her voice low, “Okay. I understand.”

“Then get in the car,” said Bennett.

“Okay,” said Leia.

At this moment, Noelle was unhappy again. She quickly said to Bennett, “Bennett, my hand is almost healed. I don’t need to go to the hospital!”

“No way…” Bennett turned around and looked at her with a hint of inquiry in his eyes.

Bennett turned around, his gaze lingering on Noelle with a trace of curiosity. His voice was calm but sharp. “Noelle, the wound on your palm was pretty deep. Normally, it would take at least a month to heal. It’s only been half a day. How could it be healed so quickly!”

“Well…” Noelle felt especially uncomfortable under Bennett’s gaze. Other than the people in the lab, Nick and Damon were aware that she recovered quickly. In truth, there was no real need to hide it. But for some reason, after being scrutinized by Bennett, Noelle felt an instinctive resistance to telling him the truth.

At that moment, Bennett, with his usual thoughtful demeanor, found an excuse for Noelle. He smiled gently and said, “I can tell that you think it’s a hassle, but you can’t afford to be careless with your injury. Mom said I’m fully responsible for it, so don’t refuse.”

Noelle was not good at arguing with others. She was more used to using her fists to persuade people. But she couldn’t fight with Bennett. She did not know how to refute it.

“Alright, you still have class in the afternoon. Don’t dawdle.”

Bennett walked over and took Noelle’s hand. “Get in the car."

“Ugh.” Noelle was reluctantly pulled into the car by Bennett.

Bennett turned to Leia, who was still standing off to the side, and said, “Leia, stop lingering there. Hurry up and get in the car, and go to school.”

“Got it, Bennett.” Leia pursed her lips. She was extremely unwilling, but she still obediently got into the car.

Taking advantage of this gap, Noelle quickly sent a message to Nicolas for help.

Noelle: Nick, help! Help! I’ll send you my location. Hurry up and pick me up!

“Noelle…” Bennett walked over.

Noelle quickly put down her phone and glanced at him. She looked honest and asked, “Bennett, what’s the matter?”

Bennett silently stared at her, then he looked at the phone she was covering. His eyes narrowed. He knew this very well, but he smiled and said, “It’s nothing. Let’s go.”

“Okay.” Noelle agreed.

On the way to the hospital, Noelle had been looking around nervously. “Why isn’t Nick here yet! Did he see the text?” However, she did not dare to call Nick. She was so anxious.

Chapter 190

Norlie, leaning against the car window and “sneaking around,” he could not help but laugh and joke. “Noelle, what are you looking for?”

“I’m not looking for anything,” Noelle quickly shook her head. In order to sound more convincing, she tried her best to blink her eyes and look sincere. This acting was enough to fool El, but it wasn’t nearly enough to deceive the sharp Bennett. When Bennett got into the car earlier, he had already guessed that Noelle must have been in contact with someone on the phone.

Other than Nicolas, no one could move so quickly. As for Nicolas, Bennett had a different opinion from outsiders. Everyone thought Nicolas was just a playboy and a trust-fund kid, but what they failed to realize was that someone who held 20% of the family shares at such a young age and still thrived in such a talented family had to have some real skills. There was no way he could have survived this long without them. Nicolas was much smarter than Sawyer family’s so-called elites.

Bennett knew that if Noelle contacted Nicolas, they wouldn’t be able to go to the hospital. As Bennett was thinking, Noelle suddenly cried out in surprise. “Nick!”

Bennett came back to his senses. He looked ahead and saw an imposing man in a suit by the roadside. It was Nicolas.

Noelle immediately turned around and said to Bennett, “Bennett, stop the car first. I’ll say hello to Nick.”

Bennett was silent for half a second before he stopped the car by the side. Noelle opened the door, walked out of the car, and pounced on the man. “Nick!”

Nicolas opened his hands to catch Noelle. Then, he wrapped her in his arms. Noelle quirkily waved her injured right hand in front of Nicolas.

Nicolas immediately understood what Noelle meant. He grabbed the girl’s hand and asked in surprise, “Baby, what happened to your hand?”

Noelle said, “My hand was accidentally cut by a knife! Bennett was about to take me to the hospital!”

“Really? What a coincidence!” Nicolas smiled and deliberately raised his voice. “I happen to be going to the Ivy Hospital. The surgical department there is second to none in Reniam City. I’ll bring you there, okay?”

“Really? Sure,” Noelle immediately said.

“Okay,” Nicolas smiled and took the girl’s hand. Then, he looked up at Bennett behind her. With a polite smile, he said, “Mr. Anderson! I’ll take her to the hospital to take a look. Do you mind?”

Bennett quietly watched the two of them sing a duet. Nicolas deliberately emphasized that the Ivy Hospital was a top-notch surgical hospital. And Noelle agreed to go. Bennett had no reason to refuse.

Bennett smiled and said, “What a coincidence, Nicolas!” There was mockery in his tone.

Nicolas was calm. He replied with a grateful smile, “That’s fate. I have a tacit understanding with Noelle.”

“Haha,” Bennett thought. “This telepathy is quite high-tech.”

Bennett did not continue to argue with Nicolas. His gaze turned and landed on Noelle. He smiled and said, “Alright, since Nicolas wants to take you to the Ivy Hospital, I’ll hand you over to him.”

“Yes, yes,” Noelle nodded her head vigorously and quickly said, “Bennett, don’t worry! I’ll go to school after seeing the doctor.”

“Alright,” said Bennett.

“Then I’ll take Noelle to the hospital now,” Nicolas added.

Bennett glanced at Nicolas and smiled. “Thank you, Nicolas.”

“No problem.”

After a short chat, Noelle was taken away by Nicolas. Bennett looked at the departing car and his lips curled into a smile. He sat back in the car and dialed a number.

Soon, the call was picked up.

Bennett asked, “Is the blood test done!”
