Chapter 0325

After dropping Miranda and Paul off, Winter drove to the bar. The ride was smooth, but just as she was about to park at the bar entrance, a Maserati zipped in from the side and slammed into her rear.

Winter was furious. She slammed her door and marched to the front of the other vehicle. โ€œWhat the hell is wrong with you? Do you know how to drive? Why are you stepping on the gas instead of slowing down? Youโ€™re speeding right here, and youโ€™re not even looking where youโ€™re going. My car wasnโ€™t even halfway in the parking space. Were you not paying attention? How did you even hit me?โ€

The Maserati driverโ€™s door swung open, and a man stepped out with a grin. โ€œI was curious who it was, and it turned out to be you. Itโ€™s just a minor bump. You donโ€™t have to lose your cool.โ€

Zach swaggered over to Winter with a cheeky smile.

โ€œOh! Itโ€™s Mr. Graaaaaham.โ€ She dragged out the syllables while keeping the sarcasm subtle.

He assessed the rear of the Ferrari and realized it was indeed badly hit, but he maintained his usual nonchalance. โ€œItโ€™s not a big deal. I was just going a bit fast and wasnโ€™t paying attention. Looks like we had a littleโ€ฆ close encounter, right?โ€

โ€œSince when did we have a close encounter?โ€ Winter rolled her eyes. โ€œBe clear about what you mean.โ€

Zach replied, โ€œFine. Iโ€™ll take the blame. Iโ€™ll call the insurance and ask them to tow your car for repairs.โ€

She retorted, โ€œTake the blame? Itโ€™s obviously your fault. Youโ€™re supposed to call insurance. Now Iโ€™m going to be without a car for a while.โ€

โ€œYou, of all people, without other cars? You must be joking.โ€

Winter didnโ€™t feel like arguing with Zach. She tossed him the car keys and said, โ€œIโ€™ve got things to take care of. You handle this.โ€

Just as she was about to head into the bar, a woman suddenly rushed over and slapped him across the face. It was a sharp and loud smack.

Winter was dumbfounded and wondered why that woman was so fierce.

Zach was momentarily stunned, but he quickly snapped back to reality. He ran his hand along the side of his face where she had slapped him and smiled. โ€œMs. Seacrest, you should be thankful I donโ€™t hit women.โ€

โ€œStop pretending to be charming! Youโ€™re just a loser and a jerk.โ€ After her outburst, the woman, Mira Seacrest, couldnโ€™t hold back her tears and threw herself into his arms.

She added, โ€œAre we really breaking up? Canโ€™t we just stay together? Even if you donโ€™t want to marry me, thatโ€™s okay. We can still be a couple.โ€

Mira was beautiful. She wore a tailored white suit that made her look sharp and elegant.

Winter observed as Mira cycled through laughter and tears. Plus, her voice changed from sweet to sharp. The way she looked at Zach was a tangled mix of love and resentment, and it felt utterly off.

She cried like a scene from a melodrama while his expression remained blank.

Mira stiffened and pulled away from his embrace. Her gaze shifted from shock to disappointment. โ€œZach, you donโ€™t understand anything about love. You only think money solves everything.โ€

She wiped her tears and stepped back. โ€œBut one day, youโ€™ll encounter a woman that money canโ€™t fix. Youโ€™ll experience the agony of longing for someone you canโ€™t have, lying awake at night and consumed by fear of losing her.

โ€œIn the end, youโ€™ll be despised, trampled on, and looked down upon like me. I wish you a lifetime of unrequited love, haunted by what you canโ€™t have, and filled with regret. You donโ€™t deserve happiness.โ€
