Listen to this chapter:

โ€œWhy are you staring at me like that? Hurry up, Iโ€™m dying of thirst!โ€ Winter urged.

Resigned, Zach got up. As she gulped down the ice water, Winter finally felt fully awake.

โ€œDid you have something to talk about? Youโ€™ve been waiting so long, I actually feel a bit badโ€ฆโ€ she remarked.

While he was fetching the water, she had already dressed and taken a quick glance at the time. Goodness, it was already 11:00 am!

โ€œFeel bad? Since when do you feel bad about anything, Ms. Jefferson? You seemed pretty shameless to me." Zach was like a balloon that had just been puncturedโ€“barely holding it together before, but now all his pent-up emotions erupted at once.

โ€œAnd then you had the nerve to order me to get you water? Youโ€™re so high and mighty; why donโ€™t you just float off into the sky?โ€ he muttered, adding a low curse afterward.

Winter frowned. โ€œWhatโ€™s with you? Did you get up on the wrong side of the bed this morning? Whatโ€™s with the temper?โ€

โ€œArenโ€™t you going to explain what that guy was doing here this morning?โ€ Zach demanded.

Winter looked puzzled. โ€œWhatโ€™s there to explain? Do you have to explain to anyone when you sleep with women?โ€

Zach choked on his words. โ€œBut Iโ€™m at least your boyfriend right now, arenโ€™t I? Doesnโ€™t this make me look bad?โ€

Winterโ€™s gaze grew even more bewildered. โ€œCorrectionโ€“fake boyfriend, thank you. Secondly, I didnโ€™t sleep with another man in front of anyone else; I just had a bit of fun privately. How does that make you look bad?

โ€œWe agreed on the terms before this arrangement. We do our own thing, remember? I havenโ€™t breached any part of our agreement, so why are you acting like this?โ€

Zach was speechless. He couldnโ€™t win. It was infuriating!

Winter took a moment to glance around the room. โ€œBy the way, your family hotel is pretty good. Keep this room reserved for me, I might come back.โ€

Zach was at a loss for words. She planned on coming back?

โ€œOh, and call the front desk later. Ask them to prepare an extra room key for me.โ€

โ€œโ€ฆWhy?โ€

โ€œOne for myself, and the other to share, obviously!โ€ Winter wondered if the drinks from last night had dulled his brain.

Zach sneered, โ€œAm I your servant, or do I owe you from a past life? Not doing it!"

With that, he stormed out.

Watching his angry retreat, Winter was left completely bewildered. After a long pause, she muttered, โ€œCrazy bastard.โ€

Zach returned to his room, slamming the door behind himโ€“not that it made much noise, of course.

He called the front desk first. โ€œNo extra key for Room 1901, got it!โ€

Then he called the manager. โ€œGet me ten women, now!โ€

The managerโ€™s eyes went wide. โ€œTโ€“Ten?โ€

Dani, still upset about missing her chance yesterday, eagerly volunteered. โ€œIโ€™ll go, Iโ€™ll go!โ€

The manager moved quickly. In less than 20 minutes, he arrived at the top floor with a group of women, knocking on Zachโ€™s door. โ€œSir, theyโ€™re all here.โ€

Zach glanced over at Winterโ€™s room across the hall and loudly asked, โ€œIs it ten?โ€

โ€œYes, sir, itโ€™s ten,โ€ the manager confirmed, also raising his voice unintentionally.

โ€œGood! Bring them in!โ€ The group of women swayed their way inside, chattering excitedly. It was quite the scene.

The manager took his leave tactfully, but as he walked away, he called the front desk. โ€œRoom 1901 checked out, yes? Since Mr. Zach requested it as a long-term reservation, log it into the list as such from last night. Thereโ€™s no need to charge it now; weโ€™ll handle payment later.โ€

โ€œWhat did you say?โ€ Zachโ€™s voice suddenly cut in.

โ€œSโ€“Sir?โ€ The manager stared, dumbfounded, as Zach caught up to him.

โ€œWhat did you just say about Room 1901?โ€

โ€œIโ€“itโ€™s reservedโ€ฆ long-term, to be billed laterโ€ฆโ€
