Chapter 341: I Will Feed You to the Dogs
Jonathan was bewildered. He quickly realized these men mistook him for his younger brother, Elliot. The surname "Reese" was likely a ruse. He recognized Mason, one of his father's despised henchmenโa man he believed had bullied his mother.
"Why are you kidnapping me?" Jonathan calmly asked Mason.
Mason, surprised by Jonathan's composureโexpecting the usual tearsโsimply said, "Mr. Rainsworth wants to see you."
Hearing his father wanted him, Jonathan ceased resisting and allowed Mason to help him into the car. He wondered why his father had left Sparaville and what brought him here. Had his father been following his mother? The thought chilled him.
A chill swept through the car. Nathaniel, though unseen, heard the commotion. "Mr. Rainsworth, I've brought him."
Once settled, Jonathan studied Nathaniel. Has my blind, amnesiac daddy really gone blind? he wondered. He tentatively asked, "Why did you seize me? To threaten Mom again?"
Nathaniel ignored him, instructing Mason, "Take him back to Sparaville first."
Jonathan immediately objected. "I'm not going to Sparaville! Let me go!" Returning to Sparaville would endanger his mother; how could Cecilia explain their relationship to Nathaniel?
Nathaniel turned, his voice sharp. "You don't have a say. Refuse, and I'll have you killed."
Nathaniel's intimidating aura momentarily silenced Jonathan. He realized his father, despite his blindness and amnesia, remained a threat. He suppressed his fear, then said coldly, "You can only intimidate a child. If I were older, I would have killed you first."
Mason, outside, was speechless. He swiftly scooped Jonathan into his arms and left. For some reason, Mason found Jonathan strikingly similar to Nathaniel, both in appearance and demeanor, particularly in his threat to kill Nathaniel.
After transferring to another car, Mason dismissed his thoughts; the paternity test was conclusiveโthis child wasn't Nathaniel's son.
In the Maybach, Nathaniel remained impassive. Soon, people emerged from the mansion, and the bodyguard reported Cecilia and Sven leaving in a car.
Inside, Magnus was being guided out, stumbling. "Hand the video to the police! I want that deceitful couple to pay!" He wasn't the same boy who submitted to a beating.
Jonathan was only intimidated by the truly powerful. Sven was just a thug; next time, with more support, Jonathan felt confident he could defeat him.
A Maybach pulled up. Nathaniel's stern profile appeared in the lowered window. "Who are you making pay?" he asked gravely.
Magnus froze at the sight of him. "M-Mr. Rainsworth, I-I was joking."
"If even a single hair is missing from Ceci's head, I'll feed yours to the dogs," Nathaniel said calmly.
