Chapter 61: What Will Zachary Do?

When he met Cecilia’s clear, furious eyes, Zachary saw only disbelief reflected in his own. This wasn't merely a resemblance; it was clearly Cecilia. He couldn't comprehend why she would be on a blind date. Before he could gather his thoughts, Cecilia told Sven, "Let's go." Sven protectively escorted her as they left.

The man knocked to the ground continued to mutter curses: "Don't you dare run away! I've got you marked, just you wait!" The other young men joined in, taunting and provoking him. "Jovan, you're such a coward. If you've got the guts, fight back!" one shouted. "Exactly, don't just yell!"

Jovan had intended to confront Sven, but after Sven's kick, he couldn't even stand. Pampered since childhood, he'd never experienced such indignity. He picked himself up, cursing under his breath. "I'm going to get some people and make them regret this!"

Before he finished, Zachary approached, his eyes icy. "What did you do to her?"

"That b*tch—"

Seeing Jovan's unrepentant attitude, the bodyguards swiftly punched him to the ground. He spat out blood. Still, Jovan remained unaware of his transgression. The other young men were speechless.

Zachary looked down coldly, then turned to his assistant, asking, "What did he intend to do?"

Arnold truthfully relayed Jovan's plan to humiliate Cecilia. "He needs to be stopped."

Zachary, abandoning the blind date, went to find Cecilia. Even as he left, he heard Jovan's pleas for mercy. The young men murmured in bewilderment, unable to understand who Ms. Kennedy was and why she provoked Zachary's wrath. Jovan's downfall seemed imminent.

Finding Cecilia gone from the Imperial Garden, Zachary's hands tightened. He regretted not paying closer attention to the attendees. He'd initially planned to impress George while discouraging unsuitable women from seeking marriage into their family. Unexpectedly…

"Find out the relationship between Ms. Kennedy and Cecilia."

"Yes, sir," Arnold replied hastily.

After a moment, Zachary added, "And who was the man with her."

Meanwhile, Cecilia sat in the car, a touch of annoyance rising. She hadn't expected Vivian's blind date to be Zachary. He despised her; now, seeing her on a blind date for her friend, she couldn't predict his reaction. Her greatest fear was still jeopardizing Vivian.

"Mommy, are you okay?" Jonathan's voice broke through.

She smiled lightly. "I'm fine, thanks to Sven."

After thanking Sven, Jonathan hugged Cecilia. "It's a shame I'm still too young," he said. "But when I grow up, I'll protect you and Mr. Sven."

A subtle change softened Sven's stern face. Cecilia's heart warmed.

"All right," she said. "Sven and I will wait for you to grow up."

With Nathaniel's bodyguard watching, Cecilia returned to Vivian's villa after leaving the Imperial Garden. After lunch, she instructed Jonathan before meeting Nathaniel at Orion Corporation.
