Raylee wholeheartedly agreed, saying, “Haha! You’re right. I want to live my life to the fullest. This chili con carne is so delicious, so why should I be upset over people who aren’t worth it? If I have the time, won’t I be better off enjoying a couple more bowls of chili con carne?”
“It’s not just chili con carne that’s delicious here,” Percival said, raising an eyebrow. “There are plenty of hidden gems around. I’ll take you to try them all when we have time.”
“Really? Thank you, Dr. Shapiro. You’re so kind!” Raylee cheered with joy. The gloom in Raylee’s heart instantly dissipated significantly after she had satisfied her hunger. There wasn’t a problem that a delicious meal couldn’t solve. If there was, then two meals would surely do the trick.
Percival pinched her cheek, expressing his contentment. “That’s more like it. A young and beautiful girl like you should be full of vitality. You shouldn’t spend your days with a gloomy face.”
Upon hearing those words, Raylee sighed deeply. “That’s true. I’m only twenty, but my mindset is as ‘mature’ and pessimistic as someone in their seventies or eighties. I long to be full of vitality and be a bit happier. However, all that ever surrounds me are broken people and unfortunate events. Dr. Shapiro, you’re aware of my situation, and you know my life story. Do I have a way out of this predicament?”
“Absolutely!” Percival stated resolutely. “The simplest solution is to let go of your hatred and run far away!”
“I can’t accept that, though,” Raylee clenched her fist.
“Well, Ray-Ray, I shouldn’t judge someone until I’ve walked in your shoes. Follow your heart, and you will find a way out of this situation.”
Raylee looked enlightened. “Dr. Shapiro, one’s speech is completely useless. You speak well, but maybe you shouldn’t say…”
“Hey, young lady! Dare you mock me!”
After a bout of laughter and lively banter, the two left the chili con carne restaurant. As they were about to part ways, Raylee remembered something about Musmeynia and asked, “Dr. Shapiro, do you still have any of the painkiller you gave me last time?”
“Did you finish it all? How was it?”
“It wasn’t me who ate it. It was Jeremiah. At that time, he was grappling with his drug addiction. His condition was terrible, and he was in great pain. As a last-ditch effort, I let him have it.”

“Dan! Raylee, thank you for the information you’ve given me. I’m not tired at all now; I need to get back to the lab…”
As Percival walked, he let out a wild, uproarious laughter. He then pulled out his phone to call Casimir.
“Mr. Sutherland, give me another two hundred million. Gosh! Trust me. This time, the return could be two billion or even twenty billion!”
“Hahaha! Don’t bother asking why. Just tell me if you’ll give me the money. If you won’t, I’ll just find another investor!”
Listening to Percival’s boisterous laughter, Kaylee frowned. “Is there something wrong with Dr. Shapiro?”
