Chapter 401 The Romantic Fool

โWho says Iโm hung up on you? Mr. Foucault is everything to me now,โ Raylee said, as she clung onto Jeremiahโs arm. โMr. Foucault, I love you. I want to marry you and have your children.โ
โRayโRay, I love you too. As long as you donโt leave me, Iโll do whatever you ask,โ Jeremiah said in a humble tone.
โReally? Youโll do anything I ask of you?โ
โOf course!โ
โDarling, youโre so good to me.โ Raylee threw her arms around Jeremiah, planting a loud kiss on his mask.
Following that, Jeremiah shot Casimir a look of superiority.
โDid you see that, Mr. Sutherland? Iโm the one RayโRay loves the most!โ
Observing how close-knit the two were and Jeremiah flaunting his superiority, Casimir felt as if he was dealing with a delusional fool.
A look of disdain flashed across his face.
Mr. Foucault is truly a hopeless romantic. Heโs so love-struck that heโs behaving like a retard. I canโt believe how everyone else is still racking their brains, trying to figure out how they could possibly strike a deal with him. Itโs now clear dealing with this fool is nothing but a waste of time. The Malk royal family has shockingly chosen such a worthless heir. Their downfall is inevitable. I have to seize this opportunity and secure as much profit as I can.
Casimir didnโt want to continue discussing matters of the heart with Leonardo, especially when it came to pointless topics such as jealousy.
โAhemโฆ Mr. Foucault, letโs get back to the main topic, shall we? What project do you think would be best for us to collaborate on?โ
โGo ahead and suggest something interesting. Iโm only responsible for dishing out the cash. After all, Iโve plenty of it,โ Jeremiah said nonchalantly.
โIf you ask me, Iโm currently thinking of venturing into the entertainment industry. I plan to establish a media company, then scout for artists with potential and nurture them to stardom, which is extremely profitable,โ Casimir voiced his thoughts.
โThe entertainment industry? Oh, the entertainment industry is great! Itโs where big money is made!โ agreed Raylee.
โSo, itโs settled then. Weโll establish an entertainment company together. Mr. Foucault, how much are you planning to invest?โ Casimir hadnโt expected Raylee to support him; his surprise was beyond words.
Just as I expected, she only has eyes for me! Though she would occasionally throw tantrums or kick up a fuss, I can always rely on her whenโฆ
Sure enough, Leonardo, the hopeless romantic, immediately agreed with his woman, declaring. โAlright, letโs start a media company! Since weโre going to enter the entertainment industry, we should aim for nothing less than the top. We should aspire to become the most prestigious media company in the country. RayโRay, for the initial phase, Iโm considering investing this amount. What do you think?โ
After he finished speaking, Jeremiah held up five fingers.
Suppressing his joy, Casimir said, โFive hundred million? Thatโs a lot for the first phase of investment. In order to demonstrate my sincerity, Mr. Foucault, I will also invest five hundred million!โ
โAre you looking down on him? My darling is talking about five billion!โ Raylee said, her brows furrowed.
โWhat? Five billion?โ Casimir was taken aback and quickly asked, โMr. Foucault, are you serious? If youโre already investing five billion in the first phase, how much more do you plan to invest in the next few stages?โ
Jeremiah huffed in dissatisfaction. โRayโRay, youโre underestimating me; I was talking about fifty billion!โ
At this point, Casimir was utterly bewildered.
Fifty billion had already crossed his bottom line.
After all, the largest project within Sutherland Group was valued at around ten billion.
Moreover, it had been in development for eight years. Back then, proposals, project documents, and tender papers had filled an entire warehouse.
Numerous meetings of all sorts, including countless shareholder meetings, had taken place.
There were also a series of other procedures that took another whole year until the decision to kick off the project was made.
Yet, Leonardo, despite finding himself without any sort of proposal, was willing to invest a whopping fifty billion in a company that hadnโt even been established.
Casimir simply couldnโt believe it, for he had never encountered someone so easy-going that it didnโt seem to make sense. Iโve seen plenty of fools with money but never to this extent!
With a casual wave of his hand, Jeremiah continued to boast,
โSix months into the second phase, I plan to further invest an additional fifty billion. As for subsequent investments, it would depend on the companyโs profitability. Mr. Sutherland, what do you think of my plan? If you find it acceptable, I wouldnโt mind some praise.โ
The way Jeremiah was fishing for compliments was reminiscent of a kindergarten child eagerly waiting for a reward. Casimir found it utterly ludicrous, but he still managed to maintain a serious facade as he complimented,
โMr. Foucault, you truly are a sharp businessman. I believe that having the opportunity to collaborate with you is the biggest honor of my life. Under your leadership, Iโm confident that our media company can become the biggest in the nation.โ
