Chapter 119

At first, no one paid much attention to Mr. Henry. Although the Red Villa was mysterious, it wasn't a wealthy family, and the guests were disdainful, considering him beneath them. However, Mr. Henry's stern demeanor projected an aura of wealth and confidence.

Everyone was surprised, not only by his confidence but also by his addressing Olive as "Young Mistress." Patrick, Monica, and Pamela's expressions changed dramatically.

Monica interjected, "Olive, what does this old man call you? We've been to the Red Villa, and it's clear he's your husband. Are you colluding with him to deceive us?"

Pamela frowned. "Olive, it's established you're married to an old man. There's no need to lie now."

Olive pursed her lips, walked forward, and met the crowd's gaze with bright eyes. Looking at Pamela, she smiled, "Must the man you saw at the Red Villa be my husband? Couldn't he be the butler?"

Mr. Henry stood beside her respectfully. "Yes, my young mistress is correct. I am the butler of the Red Villa."

Pamela was shocked. The old man was Olive's butler, not her husband!

"Mom, what's going on?" Pamela whispered to a similarly astonished Monica.

Monica took two steps back in embarrassment.

Olive smiled at Monica, murmuring, "I'm sorry if you're disappointed. But Mr. Henry is not my husband, and nothing can change that."

Murmurs rippled through the hall. Monica realized she'd been deceived.

"Olive, if he's not your husband, who is? Why didn't he come to celebrate your birthday?" Monica demanded.

Olive, in a long, nude pink tulle dress, knew the moment of truth had arrived. "You're all very interested in my husband. Don't worry, he'll be here soon."

Pamela felt a sudden unease looking at Olive's calm, intelligent face.

Mr. Henry intervened, "Aren't you all quite hilarious? My young mistress's husband is my young master. How could someone ask such a foolish question!"

Monica felt insulted but helpless.

Mr. Henry attempted to cheer Olive, saying, "Young mistress, don't let these people affect your mood. Today is your birthday, and young master will take you to the top floor to celebrate."

Monica, who had despised Mr. Henry, felt her head spin. The top floor of the six-star hotelโ€”the most prestigious in Los Angelesโ€”was never open to the public.

Mr. Henry's words caused an uproar. "Your young master will celebrate Olive's birthday on the top floor? Who do you think your master is?" "This is the biggest joke I've heard this year!" Laughter erupted.

Patrick, unhappy about the scandal, wished for it to end. Monica, recovering quickly, adopted a flirtatious demeanor. Taking Pamela's hand, she said, "Olive, you can't celebrate on the top floor. But my daughter, Pamela, can, because Mr. Augustine will be here soon, and Pamela will ask him to take her."

Pamela's heart pounded. Having Elvis Augustine take her to the top floor would restore her glory. Although she sensed Olive's husband might be influential, she was sure it wouldn't be Elvis, which delighted her.

Pamela sneered at Olive. "Olive, when Elvis takes me to the top floor, I'll emphatically tell you about it. What are sisters for?"

Olive shrugged and smiled. The hall door burst open, a cold wind rushing in. A tall figure entered with confident strides, his bearing regal.

Elvis Augustine had arrived.

Pamela rushed forward. "Mr. Augustine, you're finally here. I've been waiting."
