Outsiders attempted to enter, but third-floor security intervened, stating, “Sorry, this is a medical facility; outsiders are not permitted.” Jean continued drinking tea. He had waited several hours, remaining perfectly calm and composed. Mr. Paulo and Charlotte then approached. Seeing Jean, Charlotte reacted as if she'd found a lifeline, immediately hugging his arm and exclaiming, “Bro, something terrible happened. Aunt Nora was taken away, my wedding was ruined. Olive brought Marvin here!”

Jean showed no surprise. Several hours were ample time for Olive to sabotage the wedding. He considered his aunt, Crystal, and Charlotte to be intellectually inferior and no match for Olive; he presumed Olive had easily outmaneuvered them. This, however, held no significance. To Jean, these individuals were inconsequential, their failures and fates irrelevant to his plans.

At that moment, Olive, Elle, and several researchers entered. Jean glanced at Olive, who wore a white coat and an identifying name tag. His expression changed. “Olive, I’ve been considering your connection to X. X is you—you are Professor Hart!” This solved a long-standing mystery. Olive, a legendary medical figure, possessed immense and inexplicable power; her medical expertise was extraordinary. The daughter of Joyce Brown, a medical prodigy indeed.

Olive smiled, addressing Jean. “Master Paulo, I apologize for the wait. Having brought Marvin, I intend to use a needle to expel the poison from his body.” Jean's pale, handsome face contorted into a strained smile. “Olive, the poison has infiltrated Marvin’s internal organs. You intend to extract it? Is that even feasible?”

Olive’s bright eyes met Jean’s. “How will we know unless we try?” She approached the unconscious Marvin.

Lily, observing from the sidelines, reacted with fury upon hearing Jean’s admission of using Necro poison on Marvin. Her body trembled, eyes blazing. “Your Paulo family are frauds! How dare you harm my son? Henceforth, our families, the Augustines and Paulos, are irreconcilable, like this jade pendant!” She flung a jade pendant to the ground, shattering it with a sharp crack. Charlotte paled; the pendant was her and Marvin's inheritance. Its destruction symbolized the official severance of the Augustine and Paulo families.

Mr. Paulo's expression remained somber. He looked at Lily, then at Alpha, who stood behind her. Alpha, silent until now, regarded Mr. Paulo with intense, emotional eyes; a tempest brewing in a deceptively calm gaze. Mr. Paulo had never truly understood Alpha, who, though indifferent to Lily, deeply loved her son, Marvin.

With Jean's poisoning of Marvin now exposed and confirmed, Alpha had accepted the fracturing of the Augustine and Paulo families. The four great families of Imperial had long maintained a fragile peace, but that balance had irrevocably shattered. Alpha, driven by his love for his son, now directly threatened the Paulo family. Mr. Paulo undoubtedly understood Olive's motivations in summoning Alpha and Lily—a calculated and decisive move.

Olive donned white gloves. Elle presented a golden needle. “Professor Hart, this procedure is extremely dangerous. The poison has reached Academic Augustine's internal organs and six veins. If the needle breaches the barrier, the poison will instantly reach his heart, proving fatal.”

The gravity of the situation was palpable. All eyes were fixed on Olive. Jean interjected, “Olive, consider this carefully. With this needle, there's no turning back; Marvin's life rests in your hands.”

Ignoring Jean, Olive took the needle and began. The golden needle pierced Marvin’s acupuncture point. A sharp “ding” resonated, immediately followed by the deafening alarm of the heart rate monitor. Marvin's heartbeat ceased. Lily shrieked, “Olive, you killed my son!” As she lunged toward Olive, a strong hand restrained her. A displeased voice commanded, “Do not interrupt her!” Lily met Elvis's intense gaze.

“Elvis, why are you stopping me? My son’s heart has stopped! Marvin is dead! Are you pleased? I suspect collusion between you and Olive! You both wanted my son dead!”

Elvis shoved Lily towards Alpha, warning in a low voice, “Control this woman! Silence her, or she will be removed!” Lily stared at Elvis's arrogance, horrified. Alpha, however, grasped Lily. “Marvin isn’t dead.”

Lily, stunned, failed to comprehend. Marvin’s heart had stopped! Jean and Mr. Paulo moved closer, observing Olive’s precise movements. Elle exclaimed, “Professor, you're using the ancient method of cardiac acupuncture!”

The golden needle pierced Marvin’s heart. Olive manipulated the blood vessels, inducing a temporary cardiac standstill. This prevented the Necro poison from reaching his heart. Cardiac acupuncture, an ancient technique defying natural laws, forcibly arrested the life force, defying fate.

Olive, focused and intense, her eyes bright, removed a silver needle and swiftly pierced Marvin’s finger. Black blood flowed freely.
