Chapter 458: Satisfying You

Logan Theodore found the situation interesting. He expected no less from Joyce Brown's daughter. "That's right," he stated, "the man your mother chose is Damien, and Damien is your biological father." Logan nodded. Olive lowered her eyes to the ground. When Logan revealed his elaborate revenge plan, Mr. Paulo, Nora, and Crystal were all implicated. She realized her involvement meant she had to be Damien's daughter. Olive remained silent.

Damien stepped toward Olive, shielding her from Logan with his body. "Mr. Logan," Damien calmly questioned, "you want to marry my daughter and become my son-in-law, right? Do you think I'll accept you?" Logan's expression shifted under Damien's direct challenge. "Logan," Damien continued, "this isn't Greenland, it's Canada. I advise you not to cause trouble here. Taking my daughter is impossible." This was Damien's first direct confrontation with Logan.

Logan narrowed his eyes. He knew Canada was Damien's territory, with Alpha at his sideโ€”two powerful figures controlling the country. They formed a protective wall around Olive. Until now, he hadn't had a chance to contact Olive, let alone take her from Imperial. Logan decided not to compete with Damien for now. Once he returned to Greenland, he would have the final say. He scoffed coldly and walked away.

Damien watched Logan leave, then turned to Olive. "Olive, can we go home?" he asked. "Go home?" Olive stared at him. "Yes," he said, "back to the Robert family home. That is your real home." Damien raised a hand and stroked her hair. Olive had lacked a father's presence and love her entire life. Moments before, Damien's protective stance had been a revelation. Her gaze fixed on him, she saw the father she had always imagined. Damien was her biological father, making Mrs. Robert her biological grandmother. Olive had saved Mrs. Robert in Los Angeles, forging a special bond. They liked each other, and Mrs. Robert had repeatedly tried to claim her as a granddaughter.

Olive gently shook her head. "I can't go back to the Roberts' yet. My head is a little muddled. I need to be alone."

"Olive, where do you want to go? Logan is actively seeking to abduct you. You can't leave our sight, okay?"

"I understand. But I just want to go home. I won't wander. I'll go now." Olive walked away. Damien didn't follow, but someone was already secretly protecting her. The capital was dangerous, with threats emerging from all sides. She needed protection.

"Don't worry," Alpha said to Damien, "your daughter is just like her mother. She's resilient. She'll recover soon."

Damien shook his head. "That's why I worry. I don't want her controlled by fate. The more adversity she faces, the stronger she becomes. Sometimes, I wish she could be ordinary."

Alpha tacitly agreed. Damien turned to him. "You and Annabelle never had a daughter, yet my daughter was taken by your family." Alpha snorted. "Be content. Elvis is exceptional. When he cares for someone, he'll do anything to protect them. Even I, his father, haven't received such treatment from him."

The wedding ended, and Crystal was officially Mrs. Augustine. Elvis stood at a second-floor railing. Olive had promised to keep the OneLove necklace and ring, no matter what. Yet, at the wedding, she'd removed themโ€”she didn't want him anymore. Gloom filled Elvis's eyes, and pain consumed his heart. He wanted to see Olive immediately.

"Elvis, what are you doing?" Crystal asked, approaching him. Elvis turned, his tall frame indifferent and arrogant. "I should be asking you that. I've done what you requested. Now, give me your blood," he replied coldly. His words were blunt, a constant reminder that their marriage was transactional. Crystal stiffened, but quickly said, "Elvis, I'm your wife now. I want to sleep with you tonight."

"What?" Elvis questioned, laughing. "You mean if I don't touch you tonight, you won't give me your blood?" Crystal sensed an opportunity to negotiate, believing she held the advantage. "That's right, Elvis. I can give you my blood, but you must sleep with me tonight."

Elvis understood her needs. His face remained emotionless, his brows merely furrowing as he sneered. "If I sleep with you once, you'll give me your blood? Fine, since that's what you want, I'll sleep with you." Crystal wasn't pleased with his attitude, but she wouldn't give up. She wouldn't suffer her mother's fate as a widow. She wanted to be Elvis's woman, to bear his children, and secure her position as the Augustine family's true wife. "Elvis," she added, "you can refuse, but Olive won't be saved."

Elvis's piercing gaze fell on Crystal's face. "How could I refuse? Since you're so eager, I'll definitely satisfy you tonight."
