Chapter 535: Olive Is My Woman!
Elvis watched the fathers approach Olive, their children in tow. They spoke to Olive, who responded softly, waving goodbye with small hands. Elvis noted the gentle smile rippling in her eyes—as sweet as the fathers' farewells. Yet, since their return, she'd never smiled at him like that. Her smile was no longer for him.
He again observed the fathers. All men. He saw, undeniably, Olive's captivating effect on them. Elvis's handsome brows furrowed, his face darkening. He'd never denied his possessive desire for Olive. She was his, and no one else could touch her.
Elvis exited the car. His arrival immediately commanded everyone's attention. The parents knew Nathan, the Augustine family's eldest son, attended the kindergarten; Nathan's father was a tycoon, the Augustine family owned the surrounding land, and Elvis had donated the tallest building. Elvis's presence stunned them.
Olive looked up, seeing him. He wore a fitted black suit that emphasized his tall, handsome figure. His long-legged stride was strong and steady, his powerful aura resembling an emperor's, commanding respect. Nathan called out, "Dad."
Elvis stopped before Olive, glaring at the fathers. A chill ran down their spines; they sensed his inexplicable hostility, his jealousy. They quickly moved aside.
Seeing them retreat, Elvis lifted his chin, a touch of arrogance in his bearing. He'd see who dared take his woman.
Olive faced him, aware of the focused attention. She held out Nathan's hand, saying, "President Augustine, Nathan behaved well today. You can take him home." Elvis smirked. Her smile to him was perfunctory, a stark contrast to the sweet smiles she'd given the other fathers.
Elvis took Nathan's hand and left without a word, leaving Olive with his distant, regal back. Ignoring him, she said goodbye to Nathan, who looked at her hesitantly.
Father and son arrived at the Rolls-Royce Phantom. Elvis opened the back door for Nathan, then leaned in, his deep eyes fixed on Olive's face. In a deep voice, he called, "Olive!"
His deep, magnetic voice reached everyone's ears. A collective gasp arose. "Oh my god," someone exclaimed. "Mr. Augustine called Olive in public! What's their relationship?" Curiosity filled the air; they'd stumbled upon explosive news.
Olive froze, surprised. She'd never expected Elvis to call her in front of so many people.
Mr. Lucas quietly reminded her, "Miss Hart, Mr. Augustine is calling you." Feeling countless eyes on her and Elvis, she rushed to him. "Mr. Augustine, did you call me? Is there a problem with my work? I'll fix it immediately."
Elvis saw her evasiveness, a cold smile playing on his lips. Impatiently, he said, "Get in the car."
Whispers followed. Olive's pupils dilated; confusion clouded her face. Hadn't he said their relationship couldn't be public? Now, was he revealing it too slowly for his liking?
He threatened in a low, displeased tone, "Olive, are you getting in the car or not? If not, you won't see Nathan."
Intimidated, Olive entered the Rolls-Royce Phantom. Elvis closed the door, ignoring the onlookers, and drove them to Serenity Villa. The onlookers were stunned, witnessing Olive leave with Elvis in his luxurious car—a blatant declaration to the world that she was his.
At Serenity Villa, Nathan wanted a cake. Olive decided to bake one herself. While Aunty Layla prepared ingredients and Olive separated egg whites and yolks, preparing to beat the whites, she heard footsteps behind her.
She knew it was Elvis; she smelled the clean, pleasant scent of his tobacco. He'd just smoked. Olive's lashes trembled. Elvis wrapped his hand around her waist, pressing against her from behind, his lips brushing her hair.
Was he starting again? In the kitchen? Olive protested softly, "Elvis, don't! Aunty Layla and Nathan will be here any minute."
"They won't. I locked the door."
He'd locked the kitchen door. Elvis kissed her. Closing his eyes, he said, "Don't go to kindergarten tomorrow."
"Why not?" Olive asked, her eyes shining.
Elvis glanced at her, saying, "If I say no, you don't go. There are many reasons. Spend the day with Nathan and the night with me. Aren't you busy enough?"
