Chapter 540
Elvis demanded she leave. His red eyes flickered; he almost forgot she was menstruating. His handsome, majestic face fell slightly. "I didn't check the kitchen yesterday," he said, "I'll check it now." He pressed his tall frame over her, pulling up her nightgown. Her milky skin was exposed to the air, causing a chill. Oliveโs body was stiff, unresponsive. "Elvis, let go! Let go!"
Outside, Aunt Layla heard noises and went upstairs to the guest room. A voice from inside wailed, "It hurtsโฆ it hurtsโฆ You're hurting me, Elvis. Let me go! Are you crazy? It's not convenient for meโฆ" Olive's voice trembled, on the verge of tears.
Aunt Layla was startled. This man had returned late and immediately gone to Miss Hart's room. She didn't know what to do; Miss Hart was menstruating. As a servant, Aunt Layla felt unqualified to interfere with her master, but she couldn't stand it. Intercourse during menstruation could cause gynecological problems. She knocked urgently. "Sir, Miss Hart isn't well. She had a stomachache yesterday. Please leave. You can't do this."
Olive heard Aunt Layla and her face flushed. "Elvis, let go! Aunt Layla's here! Don't! How will I face anyone?" Aunt Layla must know what was happening. Elvis, usually thick-skinned at work, felt nothing wrong, but he saw Olive and Aunt Layla together daily.
"Why can't you face it?" Elvis's voice was hoarse. Olive fell silent. He looked frightening. A flush crept into her dark eyes, making her indescribably seductive. Elvis was captivated. He'd never been so infatuated before. He admitted she aroused him. He cursed, tearing open his pajama belt.
Olive knew what he intended. Was he insane? "Elvis, let go! I don't want to!" She struggled, hitting his shoulder. Aunt Layla continued knocking. "Sir, please consider Miss Hart's health. She's youngโฆ"
With a bang, Elvis grabbed the ashtray and slammed the door. "Get out!" he roared. Aunt Layla trembled, breaking into a cold sweat. She knew her master had lost his temper and fell silent.
A deafening crash echoed. Olive's head throbbed; yesterday's stitches ached. She felt cold and stiff beneath him. She grabbed the table lamp and hit Elvis on the head.
The blow landed; his pajama belt ripped open, revealing his muscular waist. He was momentarily stunned, and Olive struck again. Elvis released her, touching his bleeding head. She'd hit him until he bled.
Relieved, Olive crawled into bed, hugging herself, warily watching him. She saw the blood and her pupils constricted. Elvis raised his eyelashes; the hot emotion in his eyes vanished, replaced by a gloomy coldness. He licked his lips and glared. "What are you doing?"
Olive shook her head. "Sorry. I didn't mean to, but don't touch meโฆ" Seeing his injury, her heart tightened. She looked at her trembling hands. She hadn't meant to hurt him, but she couldn't be intimate with him.
Elvis rose, went to the wardrobe, and chose a black shirt. He removed his pajamas and gracefully dressed, transforming into a different personโthe handsome king of his empire, exuding an aura of nobility and indifference. He looked better than anyone.
He bent, grasping her face. With a cold smirk, he said, "I was wrong." Olive was confused. "Olive, I thought you were playing hard to get. I was wrong. You were maintaining your sanity. You don't want me. You only want Derrick Domino. You protect yourself like a jewel."
He touched his cheek and smiled softly. "Love can't be forced, and the worst thing about me, Elvis, is women. Look at you โ stiff and boring, unlike other women." He continued, "Aren't you tired of waiting for me to get bored? Congratulations, your wish is granted. I'm tired of it, so get out of my villa. You won't see Nathan from tomorrow. Understand?"
Olive felt as though she'd fallen into an abyss. He was forbidding her from seeing Nathan. This time, he meant it. Her hitting him with the lamp had enraged him. "Elvis, you can't do this! Nathan will be talking soon!"
"I'll give you time. Get out! Get out of my sight!" He pursed his lips. "I'm not going!" she said. "Oh, fine. I'm generous. You've been here two days. I'll give you the villa, and I'll take Nathan."
