Chapter 564: Visionary Has a Daughter
Olive skillfully used the situation to expose Aaron's pedophilic and perverted behavior to the world. All eyes were on him; he dared not make another move. Tonight's plan had not only failed, it was a complete fiasco. Olive had won the first battle. Aaron, witnessing Olive's methods, realized she was no ordinary person. Trixie, unable to bear the humiliation, fled, her eyes reddened, her maid in hot pursuit.
Aaron suffered a splitting headache. He had failed to bed the woman he desired and had instead landed himself in immense trouble. Trixie was the daughter of his right-hand man, Thomas. How would this mess resolve itself? "Get out of my way!" he roared, his temper flaring, and swaggered out, leaving the powerful officials to shake their heads in disappointment and follow slowly behind. Everyone soon dispersed.
Clara understood the implications perfectly: her brother Aaron had utterly lost the people's affection. She glared coldly at Olive, the usual smile absent from her face. Liam whispered to Olive, "Olive, I'll be waiting outside for you." "Okay," Olive nodded. Liam left, leaving Olive and Clara alone.
Clara sneered, "Olive, you've truly opened my eyes today." Olive tucked a strand of hair behind her ear, smiling, "Princess Clara, tonight is merely the beginning." The battle had begun silently.
Clara approached, "Olive, you only want to marry Liam and become Princess of Gold City. You don't want Elvis anymore, do you? If not, I will be his woman." Olive scoffed, "Then why haven't you captivated Elvis in the past three years? You couldn't manage him while I was gone. Now that I'm here, where did you find this audacity?"
"How dare you!" Clara exclaimed angrily. Olive smiled lightly, "Elvis is charming, isn't he? Handsome, wealthy, powerful, possessing everything a man could desire. You like him, and that's fine. But for three years, you've imitated me, copying my mannerismsโฆ" Olive paused, chuckling. "But do you truly understand Elvis? A man like him is deep, reserved, and powerful. No one can decipher his thoughts. In fact, your actions over the past three years have only exposed you. He saw through your feigned cuteness, deeming you a clown."
"You know nothing, yet remain complacent about his sporadic kindness. He's been with countless women; why didn't he touch you? Not because you couldn't satisfy him, but because, in his heart, you lack even the qualifications to share his bed. Women who deliberately affect cuteness are ridiculous, pitiful, and irritating." Olive added ruthlessly, "That's right, Clara. In Elvis's eyes, you've always been stupid!"
Clara's face paled. She looked at Olive, shocked. "Olive, don't talk nonsense, I don't believe you," she rebuked. "It matters little if you deceive yourself and others, as long as you're happy," Olive replied, then turned and left.
Outside the palace, Liam awaited. "Princess Olive, is this your gift to me?" he laughed. Olive nodded, "Indeed."
"My father is furious. This is the first scandal the Arthur family has faced in years. While satisfying, did you consider Thomas's loyalty? To resolve this, Thomas and my father will likely marry Trixie to Aaron," Olive said, gazing at the distant mountains. "How loyal do you believe Thomas Arthur will remain to you?"
Liam paused. Olive continued, "To secure Thomas's loyalty, you'd need to directly oppose Aaron. At least half the Imperial Army would need to be under your command. What do you think?" Liam narrowed his eyes, "Thomas is an ignorant, loyal man. Betraying the royal family to be loyal to meโฆwill he agree?"
"Then, what gift did the King of Gold City receive? The gift I gave you was Thomas," Olive said, and departed. Liam's confidant whispered, "Does Princess Olive truly have a means to deal with Thomas?"
Liam watched Olive, her black cape flowing over her white gauze skirt, enter a luxurious car. He then spoke, "Do you remember the wandering monk from when the King was born?" The confidant nodded. "He pointed to the brightest star, saying the Emperor Star had appeared, destined to rule the world."
Liam continued, "He also pointed to a dazzling star and said, 'Visionary has a daughter, and the world will be beautiful under her rule.'" The confidant was shocked. Could the monk have meant Olive?
At the Royal Palace, Logan raged, smashing things, and berating Aaron, "How could I have such a useless son? You failed to handle Olive. Your affair with the Arthur family's daughter is splashed across every newspaper! Do you understand the disgrace you've brought upon the royal family?"
