Chapter 625: A Date With Three People
Elvis reached out and wrapped his arms around Claraโs shoulder. โLetโs go back.โ
โElvis,โ Clara called out weakly, lowering her waist and rubbing her knee. โMy leg is numbโฆโ
In the next second, Clara was being hugged. Elvis held her firmly in his strong arms and walked out with steady, sonorous steps. Clara hugged Elvisโs neck, then turned and looked at Olive proudly, even provocatively.
Olive remained by the door, her gaze fixed on Elvis as he walked with Clara. As they neared, Elvis seemed to notice her stare. His narrow, deep eyes met Oliveโs.
Oliveโs slender fingers curled, her heartbeat quickening. But in the next second, Elvis looked away, carrying Clara to the car. He didnโt recognize her; his gaze was unfamiliar, as if he were looking at a stranger. Oliveโs fingers uncurled, her heart sinking. She was disappointed.
Molly, standing beside Olive, smiled with satisfaction. โPrincess Olive, Elvis still fell for one of us. He didnโt even recognize you. If not for Petersonโs presence, Clara and Elvis would be all over each other right now.โ
Oliveโs eyelashes trembled; she couldnโt speak. The pill sheโd taken had silenced her.
Molly swelled with pride. The Mermen had been suppressed by Visionary for years, but now, it seemed, the tide was turning. โPrincess Olive, this is just the beginning. Elvis and Claraโs blissful life has only just begun, and you get to witness it. Thereโs no future for you and Elvis; youโre just a bystander!โ
After returning, Clara avoided contacting Joyceโs people immediately. While she knew about Oliveโs recent struggles, she was unfamiliar with Visionary and feared revealing her own weaknesses. Her priority was Elvis; she needed to secure his ascension to the throne so she could become queen. Therefore, Clara stayed at the villa, sending only a message to Joyce confirming her safety.
That evening, Clara relaxed in a milk and rose petal bath when Elvisโs text arrived. It read simply, โDownstairs,โโconcise and domineering, typical Elvis.
Claraโs heart skipped a beat. Looking out the window, she saw a Rolls-Royce Phantom below, with a tall, sturdy figure beside it. Elvis had arrived. He wore a white shirt and black trousers, a classic and striking combination. The car was the undeniable focal point of the night.
Noticing her gaze, Elvis raised his handsome eyelids. Their eyes met, and Claraโs heart pounded. Many men had pursued her as a princess, but sheโd been unmoved, looking down on them. Elvis had changed everything; her feelings were ignited, her heart and eyes fixed on him, willingly surrendering to his control.
Another text arrived: โCome down.โ
Clara blushed, put away her phone, and ran out. She saw Olive in the living room and paused. This was a rare opportunity; she wanted Olive to witness her happiness with Elvis, but also to do something that would make Elvis hate Olive.
โOlive, Elvis is here. Heโs taking me on a date. Come with me,โ Clara said quickly.
Olive looked at Claraโs proud face. Elvis had come for her, and she was inviting Olive along. Olive didnโt understand Claraโs motives, but she calmly followed.
Downstairs, Elvis waited patiently. He saw Clara descending.
Clara ran to him, smiling. โMr. Augustine, itโs late. What are you doing here?โ
Elvis took her arm, pulling her close, looking down at her gently.
โBecause Iโm very busy,โ Clara added, playfully mimicking Oliveโs quick wit.
Elvis asked, โHow busy? Princess Olive, I need to buy an hour of your time.โ
Clara blinked. โWhat?โ
โAccompany me to see my son.โ
The sweetness faltered. Clara almost forgot about Nathan. Sheโd heard his genes were remarkably strong, almost abnormal. While unaware of Levi and Ivy, she knew Nathan was Elvis and Oliveโs son. Nervousness washed over her.
Elvis noticed the shift in her expression. โWhatโs wrong?โ he asked softly.
โNothing,โ Clara said, quickly pulling Olive forward. โMr. Augustine, this is Sadie, my official. She knows weโre dating and insisted on coming. You donโt mind, right?โ
