Chapter 677: DNA Paternity Test
Elvis coldly addressed Sophia's family: "I don't want to see you again. Don't ever appear before me." He then hugged Ivy and left.
He carried Ivy to his Rolls-Royce Phantom, retrieving a medicine box to treat the wound on her palm.
Ivy said clearly, "Handsome uncle, thank you for today."
"You're welcome," Elvis replied. "Ivy, come home with me and play. My house is full of interesting things." He wanted to take her home.
Ivy hesitated. Although she liked her handsome uncle, she couldn't just go to someone's house.
"Ivy, your brother, Levi, is also visiting my house. Your mother and I are good friends, so don't worry."
Ivy's eyes lit up. The handsome uncle knew her mother!
"Is my brother really there too?" she asked.
Elvis nodded. "Of course."
"Okay, I'll go home with you, handsome uncle," Ivy agreed.
Elvis secured her in a safety seat, fastened her seatbelt, and closed the door before getting in the driver's seat. Aunt Cora rushed to stop him. "Sir, thank you, but the little lady can't go with you…"
Elvis looked at Aunt Cora. His deep, magnetic voice cut her off: "I'm Ivy's dad. Why can't I take my daughter home?"
Aunt Cora was stunned. Though she'd heard Elvis claim paternity at the kindergarten, she'd assumed he'd lied to protect Ivy. Hearing his certainty now, her ears rang. Could this man really be… the son-in-law?
Elvis drove away. Aunt Cora, fearing for Ivy's safety, immediately called Levi.
After a brief ring, Levi answered. "Hello, Auntie Cora."
"Young master, where are you?"
"I'm in a bit of trouble. A man is following me, and I'm leading him on a chase around Greenland."
"Young master, it's not good! The young lady has been taken by… the son-in-law!"
Levi fell silent for a moment. He knew instantly who "the son-in-law" was. "Oh no," he muttered, slapping his thigh. "I'm trapped! It's a ruse, luring the tiger away from the mountain!"
"Young master, I don't understand. Please speak plainly. Is the young lady in danger?"
"Auntie Cora, don't worry. I'm going to find my sister," Levi said, hanging up.
That evening, the villa doorbell rang. The maid admitted Levi.
Elvis was already waiting in the living room.
"Hello, handsome uncle, where's my sister?" Levi asked.
Elvis pointed upstairs. "Ivy's playing up there."
Levi, instead of going upstairs, sat opposite Elvis. The scene was a silent negotiation. Elvis, having already decided to accept Levi as a son, pursed his lips. "Levi, why don't you go see Ivy?"
Levi tilted his head. "I'll have plenty of time for that later. Handsome uncle, could you please keep us here tonight?"
Elvis chuckled. He liked this clever boy more and more.
"Handsome uncle, you and Nathan have cleverly lured us in. Let's cut to the chase. What do you want?"
Elvis raised a heroic eyebrow. "Levi, I need a strand of your hair."
Knowing he had no choice, Levi offered a lock of hair.
Elvis placed Levi's, Ivy's, Nathan's, and his own hair in a sealed bag, giving it to Peterson. "Take this for DNA paternity testing. We need the results as soon as possible."
"Yes, sir," Peterson replied, respectfully retreating.
A DNA paternity test? Levi knew what Elvis intended when he'd offered his hair. His and Ivy's origins were about to be revealed.
Elvis turned to Levi. "Levi, is there anything you want to tell me?"
Levi shook his head. "No. This is between you and my mother. I won't say anything."
Just then, Ivy's sweet voice called out, "Bro, you're here?" She ran to hug him.
Levi adored his little sister. "Ivy, are you happy here?"
"Of course! This handsome uncle's house is so big, and there are tons of toys upstairs!" Ivy exclaimed, still somewhat awestruck.
Elvis stood up. "Dinner's ready. Let's eat."
After dinner, Elvis went to his study. A knock came at the door. "Young master, the DNA paternity test results are in," Peterson announced.
Elvis paused mid-signature on a document. "Come in."
Peterson entered with a sealed folder. "Young master, here are the results."
Elvis opened the folder. The DNA of Elvis, Nathan, Levi, and Ivy were a perfect match.
Peterson stated, "Young master, the DNA results show Levi and Ivy are your children. They are triplets, born with Little Master Nathan. Miss Hart had triplets—your three children."
Elvis stared at the results, stunned. Though he'd prepared himself, seeing the confirmation was profoundly shocking.
