Chapter 706: Brother, Youโ€™re Too Late!

The hotel manager led Elvis to a room, saying, โ€œNaomi is inside.โ€ A bodyguard kicked the door open.

Naomiโ€™s hands and feet were bound. A fat man, a vicious smile on his face, whipped her. She was already weakened, her white dress stained crimson from numerous previous blows. The abuse continued. He swung the whip again, yelling, โ€œNaomi, where were you last night? Are you cheating on me? If I donโ€™t hit you daily, you wonโ€™t learn!โ€

A knock interrupted him. โ€œWhoโ€™s that?โ€ he demanded impatiently. He froze, seeing men at the door.

Elvis entered with a firm stride, his gaze fixed on the fat manโ€”a local thug, usually fearless. But his confidence wavered. โ€œWho are you? How did you get in here?โ€ he stammered.

Before he finished, bodyguards disarmed and restrained him. He protested, โ€œLet me go! This is a human rights violation!โ€

Elvis approached Naomi. She looked up, her eyes wide with tears. โ€œMister, thank youโ€ฆโ€ Peterson untied her. Weak, she fell towards Elvis, who caught her.

She cried, gazing at him, bewildered. โ€œWhyโ€ฆ do you seem familiar? Whatโ€™s your name? Why do you always appear when I need help?โ€

The fat man yelled, โ€œNaomi! Iโ€™m still here! Are you flirting with another man in front of me?โ€

โ€œSheโ€™s my wife,โ€ Elvis said, frowning. โ€œWeโ€™re married. Donโ€™t interfere.โ€

Peterson snapped, โ€œShut up! This is President Augustine!โ€

Naomi gasped, staring at Elvis. โ€œAugustineโ€ฆ Augustineโ€ฆโ€ She touched the necklace she wore, her fingertip tracing the engraved name. โ€œAre youโ€ฆ myโ€ฆ big brother?โ€ she whispered.

Elvis looked at her tear-stained face, then nodded. โ€œYes.โ€

Naomiโ€™s eyes widened in shock and confusion, tinged with sadness. โ€œBigโ€ฆ big brother, youโ€™re finally here. You promised to pick me up, but Iโ€™ve waited years. Youโ€™re lateโ€ฆ so lateโ€ฆโ€

Elvis, his face impassive, removed his jacket, draping it over her, then held her close and carried her away.

โ€œHey! Where are you taking my wife?!โ€ the fat man shouted.

Elvis carried Naomi from the room. She sobbed uncontrollably. Peterson opened the Rolls-Royceโ€™s back door. Elvis placed Naomi inside, and the car sped away.

A woman watched from the roadsideโ€”Elvisโ€™s aunt, Bounty, recently arrived from Greenland. She had once sponsored Naomi, a girl sheโ€™d admired. But Naomiโ€™s life had taken a dark turn; sheโ€™d been sold to the thug. Bounty had come to rescue her.

Seeing Elvis with Naomi shocked her. She hadnโ€™t expected this. She knew Elvis had triplets with Olive, a woman she greatly admired.

Observing Elvis embrace Naomi, Bounty was stunned. โ€œDoes Olive know about this?โ€ she wondered.

She took a photo of them. Years ago, Annabelle had caused Bounty to fall down stairs while pregnant, resulting in a miscarriage and infertility. This made her sympathize deeply with Olive, who'd given Elvis three children.

Bounty felt betrayed. She intended to send the picture to Olive, but her phone rangโ€”Lily. Bounty favored Lily and her son, Marvin, over Annabelle.

Answering, she said, โ€œHello, sister-in-law.โ€
