Chapter 734: She Vomited

Alpha pursed his lips. “Anabelle, you only told me this after I rushed over? Sometimes, I want to rip out your heart to see if you even have one!”

Anabelle hardened her heart. “Alpha, stop it. Leave me alone. I only bring you disaster.” She continued, “Don’t you understand? I don’t want you here. Even if you stay away, Marcus will come. You’re just feigning affection, and it disgusts me. You’re haunting me.”

A dangerous storm brewed in Alpha’s eyes. He looked at Anabelle mercilessly, then let out a deep laugh, his tongue pressed against his cheek. “Oh, Anabelle, you are evil!”

He was furious. He would usually make such a person disappear, but this was Anabelle. Enraged, he could only hiss, “Fuck!”

He grabbed her wrist, forcing her into the passenger seat. Anabelle struggled. “Alpha, let me go! I don’t want to get in your car!”

“Shut up! I don’t want to hear you right now!”

“Alpha!” Anabelle pushed him away.

Alpha’s hand clenched into a fist. His face was dark, almost bleeding. He hissed, “Anabelle, my patience is limited. Do you want to anger me?”

Anabelle glanced at him and left. She hailed a taxi, urging the driver, “Drive fast.” Alpha watched the taxi speed away, a storm in his eyes. This woman!

Seconds later, he returned to his car and sped off. In the silence, his phone rang. It was Lil’ Nathan. Alpha read the message, tossed the phone onto the passenger seat, and lowered the window, letting in the cold wind.

In the taxi, the driver said, “Hey, is that luxury car following us?”

Anabelle, looking at a text from Levi, heard the driver. She looked through the rearview mirror and saw Alpha’s car chasing them. What was he doing? Wasn’t he at the hospital with Bounty?

Chapter 734: She Vomited (continued)

Anabelle watched his black luxury car gleam under the neon lights—just like him.

“Should we stop?” the driver asked.

Anabelle shook her head. “No, let’s go. If he wants to follow, let him.”

“Okay.”

Anabelle lowered her eyelids. Alpha, please come back… Stop trying to convince me.

Anabelle returned to her apartment. Levi exclaimed, “Grandma, you’re back!”

She hugged him. “Levi, what about your text? Why did you say Aunt Bounty was okay?”

Levi laughed. “Mom left a golden pill. It protects Aunt Bounty for three nights. Mom has to return within three days, or Aunt Bounty won’t survive.”

Anabelle’s heart tightened. Could Olive really return in time? What if she couldn’t?

“Grandma, you’re tired. Go rest. You don’t need to go anywhere for three days.”

“But I want to see Bounty.”

“No need, Grandma. My brother’s at the hospital.”

Nathan?

Levi nodded. “Before Mom left, she told us to guard this place. Don’t worry, my brother will handle things.”

A weight lifted from Anabelle’s heart. Olive had planned everything. Levi was here, and Nathan too; Olive only needed three days.

Anabelle went to her window, but stopped when she saw Alpha’s car parked below. He had followed her and was now smoking a cigar, leaning against his car. She couldn’t see his expression clearly, but she sensed his frown.

At that moment, Anabelle felt exhausted. She noticed he was still wearing his slippers. He must have rushed over, without even changing shoes.

Anabelle’s eyes welled with tears. A wave of nausea hit her. She rushed to the bathroom and vomited bitter bile. Exhausted, she collapsed on the carpet, pale. What was wrong? Was she sick?

Alpha finished his cigar, noticing her light was still on, but not for him. He got back in his car and drove to the hospital.
