Chapter 166: Body Reaction

They were all expressing guilt and remorse. Countless replies flooded the posts, offering apologies. Of course, just as many people mocked them.

“What’s the point of apologizing now? Where was this remorse when you were actually doing it?”

“Exactly! If saying sorry was enough, why do we even need the police? The damage is already done! We were all accomplices.”

“At this moment, I realize just how meaningless the words ‘I’m sorry’ really are.”

But it wasn’t just Northwind University’s students who were troubled. The university’s top executives had called an emergency meeting. Even the head principal, who hadn’t stepped foot on campus in years, made a rare appearance. He knew about the issues but thought they would resolve themselves. He didn’t expect this. He also didn’t care who went to prison; he only cared if the university could keep Sierra. Their biochemistry program was its crown jewel, and the principal was well aware of Sierra’s value. He knew several top institutions were preparing offers, including the world’s number-one-ranked university.

Everyone understood what it would mean to have Sierra join their institution. Sierra had a bright future ahead; in fact, she was already shining. Who wouldn’t want a talent like that? So, what could they do to keep her?

Thinking this, he turned to the vice principals and the dean, speaking calmly, “What we need to consider now is how to earn Sierra’s forgiveness.”

The vice principals looked grim, but they knew the principal was right.

“We’ll apologize,” Wagner gritted his teeth.

“You think an apology will be enough?” the principal questioned.

“Whether it works or not, we need to at least show sincerity first,” Wagner replied regretfully. If he had known Sierra was this capable, he would never have made those decisions back then.

The principal thought for a moment and sighed deeply. “Let’s start with that, then.” But deep down, he had a bad feeling they were going to lose Sierra.

Sierra slept well. Years of turmoil and worry vanished. She felt relaxed. When she woke up, she found herself sleeping in Jonathan’s arms. Through the thin fabric of her nightgown, she could feel the warmth radiating from Jonathan’s body and the firm strength of his physique. A slow realization crept over her, making her cheeks flush. She instinctively shifted, trying to put some distance between them.

But the next moment, a strong arm pulled her back into his embrace, and above her head, she heard Jonathan’s slightly husky voice. “Don’t move.”

Just when she was about to speak, she felt something—where their legs were intertwined. She stopped moving, telling herself it was a human bodily reaction. As a biochemistry student, she knew it was a male’s bodily reaction. But even so, she still blushed. First, she had never been this close to a guy. Second, she felt he was somewhat beyond the standard. She had seen the data and knew the average statistics for men. Although she hadn’t observed up close, from the brief touch earlier, Jonathan had definitely exceeded the average…and by a lot.

Chapter 166: Body Reaction (Continued)

With all sorts of messy thoughts running through her mind, her face grew even hotter. She lay there for a long time, not daring to move. However, the searing sensation still didn’t fade.

Finally, she said, “Are you not done?”

“I thought it’d be over after a while! Why is he still…?”

“It’s been like this for a night.”

“Impossible!” This was Sierra’s first reaction. How could that be? This completely defied the limits of human physiology.

The moment she finished speaking, she was pinned beneath him. Jonathan’s dark eyes locked onto hers. “I can show you that it’ll be the same all day long. Want to test it out?”

Sierra didn’t dare say another word as she saw the seriousness in Jonathan’s gaze. She had no idea how innocent and timid she looked at that moment, and Jonathan wanted nothing more than to devour her, but in the end, he forced himself to hold back.
