Chapter 83: Live and Let Grade

“No way, even Mr. Yeager is involved now? My goodness, so Mr. Yeager is watching the livestream?”

“Is Mr. Yeager always this approachable, or is it just with Sierra?”

“What do you mean by that?”

“I heard Mr. Yeager has helped Sierra a few times before.”

“Mr. Yeager is very helpful; those incidents aren’t really significant.”

Amidst the online debate, Jonathan had already pushed open the classroom door and was walking towards Sierra. He stopped not far from her and began, “I appreciate Sierra’s trust in me, and I’m glad to be a witness.” If the chat was wild before, it went completely berserk as Jonathan spoke.

“It’s weird, I get an oddly satisfying vibe from this. What’s going on?”

“Same here, the male lead just took shape in my mind from this.”

“Mr. Yeager is too cool, drooling over here…”

No matter how lively the online buzz, the actual scene was very quiet. Sierra was doing her best to control her heartbeat, trying not to let it race.

“Thank you, Mr. Yeager.”

Jonathan smiled briefly, then picked up Sierra’s papers and quickly reviewed them. A moment later, he put down the papers and announced, “All correct!” He then turned to Ricky, “Of course, if you have doubts, we could always have two more teachers take a look.”

Ricky’s face turned from red to white and back again as he vigorously shook his head, “No need, Mr. Yeager, if you’ve reviewed them, then there’s definitely no issue.”

However, Jonathan wasn’t ready to let it go that easily, “Let’s have someone else take a look anyway, just to maintain fairness!”

Coming from Jonathan, this statement was a slap in the face for Ricky, who managed only a forced smile. Soon, Evan and another professor appeared on camera.

Evan didn’t bother with pleasantries; he grabbed the papers from the table and started reviewing them, his expression growing more peculiar by the second. All correct? How is that even possible? This set of papers was so difficult that not even his peers from his doctoral program could have completed them so quickly and accurately, let alone get everything right. Even he would struggle to finish so swiftly. How could Sierra possibly manage it?

He looked at Sierra in astonishment, then his gaze shifted to Jonathan, and understanding flickered in his eyes. So that’s it! No wonder Sierra wasn’t nervous at all, Jonathan must have leaked the exam questions to her beforehand, which explained her confidence!

The professor quickly reviewed the papers too, then nodded at Ricky, “Indeed, all correct. And, some of the solutions this student used are quite innovative; I’ve never seen them before.”

“How is that possible?” Ricky blurted out without thinking, then quickly realized he was still on live broadcast and tried to cover it up, “I’m not doubting anything; it’s just that in such a short time…”

Chapter 83: Live and Let Grade Finished

“The location was chosen by you, the time set by you, even the method was dictated by you, everything was done under your rules, and you are here in person. What exactly are you questioning?”

Ricky had never looked so uncomfortable. Yes, he had been watching Sierra closely; she couldn’t have cheated, but that only made it all the more incredible. It simply wasn’t possible! He wasn’t a biochemistry expert, but the professors who set the questions had told him the difficulty was tremendous; even their PhD students might not complete it within the allotted ninety minutes.

Thinking this, he suddenly felt emboldened, even forgetting they were still live, and blurted out, “This set of questions, not even a doctoral student could complete in ninety minutes, let alone forty. It’s simply not possible. And…”

He had more to say, but his phone started ringing insistently. Glancing at the caller ID, he suddenly realized something and hurriedly looked towards the camera, his face turning pale. He had forgotten they were still live.

Today, the students of Northwind University felt they were in for a treat, one spicy scene after another; they couldn’t keep up. And with so many twists and turns, it was truly a day of endless reversals.

“Help! Has Mr. Ricky gone mad? Is he inadvertently admitting they were deliberately making it hard for Sierra?”
