Chapter 222  Lucian massaged his temples, “But he can’t be the butler anymore, demoted to a common servant. I’ve decided to head to Orvin for new opportunities, so I’ll leave him here to keep you company while you redo the year”  He felt the Langston family had been more than generous with Evelina. If she couldn’t seize the opportunity, she had only herself to blame  Through gritted teeth, Evelina said, “Thanks, Luciant”  All she needed was to keep Zack for now  But she wasn’t planning on staying behind. Thaddeus stood by, “Lemon, tonight we celebrate your new journey.”  “Thanks.”  As Lemira sat down, she said to Thaddeus, “I hope tomorrow’s expo goes smoothly.”  “Me too.”  Lemira instinctively looked at Orion, “Will you be joining us tomorrow?”  After all, it was about the company’s new project.  Orion’s lips barely moved, “I’ll sit this one out. You two go ahead, Thaddeus is the boss after all.”  Hearing he wouldn’t join them dimmed Lemira’s spirits slightly. She had been preparing for this day, yet now that it was here, parting felt bittersweet.  Thaddeus tried to lighten the mood, “Every gathering has its end, but we’ll meet again.”  Lemira held her drink, her mood down.  After dinner, Thaddeus stepped out to the balcony to make a call.  Lemira faced the man across the table, “I’m about to leave. Don’t you have anything to say?”  Orion responded calmly, facing her gaze, “Live happily. Do what you want without worrying too much.”  “Is that all?”  Disappointment flickered across Lemira’s face.  Orion avoided her gaze, “Once school starts, focus on your studies. Don’t rush into dating.”  Lemira laughed suddenly, “When I date is my choice.”  Orion was choked on it, “You’re still young.”  “I’m already of age. Besides, aren’t you dating someone? Though, I’ve never seen your girlfriend.”  Lemira was curious about the type of person he’d choose.
