He glanced at the phone and answered, “Hello?”  “Mr. Everhart, there’s a bit of a situation at the corporation. When can you come down?”  “Right away.”  Orion hung up the phone, “About the house goods, I’ll have someone deliver them later. No need for you to go out and pick them.”  “You’re not going now? Who was that on the phone? Something urgent?”  temira guessed blindly if it might be that girl.  Non hesitated for a moment, “Something came up. I gotta go.”  “Okay.”  Watching Orion leave, Lemira felt like she was on an emotional roller coaster.  He rushed off after a call; it must have been that girl’s call. Left alone, Lemira prepared some materials on artificial intelligence that might come in handy in the future.  Soon after, there was a knock on the door, “Ms. Langston, we’re from the home goods company, ready to deliver your order. Is that convenient?”  Lemira was puzzled, “I didn’t order these.”  “It was Mr. Everhart who placed the order.”  Lemira hadn’t expected Orion to actually arrange for the delivery of home goods; she thought he was just speaking off the cuff.  She tried to call Orion, but no one answered. She looked at the delivery personnel standing outside, “Bring them in then.”  She decided she would pay Orion back later.  Soon, the delivery personnel quickly arranged all the furniture and home goods. Lemira found the light–colored theme quite soothing  After the workers left, Lemira sent Orion a photo of the living room, “Nice taste. How much did it cost? I’ll pay you back.”  She didn’t want to accept these things from him. It felt oddly uncomfortable.  But Orion didn’t reply to her message.  Feeling both conflicted and annoyed, Lemira eventually decided not to ask further. If he wasn’t in a hurry, why should she be?  On the first day of school, Lemira dragged her suitcase, hailing a cab to Orvin University. As she got into the taxi, a black luxury car followed quietly behind.  Inside the luxury car, Thaddeus spoke lazily, “If you’re so worried, why not just drop her off yourself? Why follow her secretly like this?”  “No need.”  Orion watched the taxi ahead. The last time at the restaurant, he was almost recognized.  Now that Lemira was starting a new life, he shouldn’t reappear. The man’s gaze carried a hint of reluctance, something even he hadn’t noticed.  Lemira got out of the cab and walked into the campus, ready to start her new chapter.  She went to the registration desk, pulling out her offer of admission along with the necessary documents.  “Lemira, seems like you really treasure this school offer, getting so upset when it was previously opened. It’s just a school offer, what’s the big deal?”  Evelina, dressed in branded attire and carrying a designer bag, approached.  Seeing Evelina, Lemira scoffed, “What are you doing here at Orvin University? With your canceled scores due to cheating, you couldn’t reach the entry requirements even if you put efforts for it!”  Lemira brought up Evelina’s cheating scandal, making Evelina clench her teeth in anger, blaming the witch always brought up the most inconvenient topics.  Luckily, they were at Orvin, where no one knew them.  Evelina put on a smug look deliberately, “There’s some good news for you: I’m now a student at Orvin University as well.”  1/1
