Chapter 315
Orion glanced at Thaddeusโs phone, and sure enough, the message was from Lemira. A wave of irritation washed over him. Despite trying to keep his cool, he couldnโt help but check his own phone; his last conversation with Lemira had been when he was discharged from the hospital. He sensed Lemira wanted to keep her distance, and seeing her become so much stronger, he decided to respect her wishes and hadnโt contacted her since. It felt like the right thing to do, yet something inside him had shifted.
Running a hand through his hair, Orion asked tiredly, โWhat do you think?โ
โOf course, Iโm going. Lemon is my friend. Whatโs the big deal about grabbing dinner?โ
Orion tapped the table. โLetโs go to Bistrova, put it on my tab.โ
Thaddeus drawled, โLemonโs treating me to dinner, and you want to put it on your tab? Canโt I pay for my own meal?โ
โJust do as youโre told!โ
โYouโre not coming?โ
Orion felt somewhat gloomy. โNo, she invited you.โ
Standing up, Thaddeus put on his jacket and checked himself out in the mirror.
Orion, barely containing his impatience, exclaimed, โAre you going or what? Stop admiring yourself!โ
Orion tried to focus on the documents in front of him, but couldnโt absorb a single word.
Thaddeus coughed. โSeriously, youโre not coming? Weโre all friends here. Whatโs the harm in joining for a meal? Weโll just say you happened to be in the area!โ
โFine, do as you please.โ
Immediately, Orion put down the papers and grabbed his coat, also pausing to look at himself in the mirror.
Pushed aside, Thaddeus rolled his eyes. โHonestly, the accident back then wasnโt your fault. It was the driverโs error. Just explain it to Lemon, and itโll be fine.โ
Thaddeus had only recently learned about the true details of the accident from Orion, which had nothing to do with Orion himself.
Orion adjusted his clothes. โYou see it that way because youโre looking from my perspective. But what about Lemira? She lost her parents!โ
Thaddeus fell silent, acknowledging the point. Lemira was indeed the victim of that tragic accident.
Bistrova.
Lemira stepped out of her car and approached the entrance, noticing the understated charm of the place; it hardly resembled a restaurant from the outside.
A staff member approached. โMs. Langston, right?โ
โYes, thatโs me.โ
โPlease, follow me.โ
As Lemira followed the staff member inside, she admired the unique and quaint dรฉcor, finding it quite appealing. Upon reaching the private dining area upstairs, the staff presented her with fruit and snacks.
Originally, she had intended to treat to dinner but wasnโt familiar with the place. Thaddeus had recommended this spot, and the ambiance was indeed lovely.
Taking out her phone, Lemira snapped a photo from the window.
โWhat are you capturing, Lemon?โ
Turning around, she was surprised to see Orion, who had also just arrived.
Pausing for a moment, she responded, โThe view is nice. Thought we could come here for a team-building dinner sometime.โ
โTeam building? Sure, just put it under my name!โ
Thaddeus glanced at Orion, knowing well that with him around, this place could easily become Lemonโs playground.
Lemira looked at Orion, noticing his casual attire that highlighted his handsome yet distant features. She initiated the conversation, โThought you had left, so I didnโt invite you.โ
โItโs a small matter. Orion happened to be around, so we came together. You donโt mind, do you?โ

Shaking her head, Lemira replied, โOf course not. Weโre all friends here.โ
Just then, the Bistrova manager approached, standing respectfully by Orionโs side. โMr. Everhart, shall we prepare the usual for you?โ
Orion turned to Lemira. โWhat would you like?โ
โLetโs go with what you usually have. Iโm sure itโs all good.โ
