Lemira turned to Orion. “He called you ‘bro’ earlier, right? Are you guys related?”

Before Matthew could finish, he felt a sharp pinch on his back, making him wince in pain and glare at Orion. “What was that for?”

Lemira pointed at them. “Definitely relatives. You share a last name.”

Then it hit Lemira: Matthew and Orion were related? But Matthew was from the prestigious Everhart family!

Lemira looked at Orion seriously. “How come you never mentioned your connection to the Everharts?”

Orion explained nervously, “Well, we just share the last name.”

Realizing this, Lemira turned to Matthew. “That account was really yours?”

Lemira felt a surge of emotions. So, the person from her past life was Matthew? Not Orion?

Thaddeus chimed in, “Lucky I got here in time. Lemira didn’t seem suspicious.”

“Bro, were you in a car accident with your lady recently? I noticed she had a scar on her forehead.” Orion’s gaze hardened with a warning.

Matthew covered his mouth. “I swear, I won’t spill. I’ve always been tight-lipped!”

“Tight-lipped? Haven’t you blabbered about every single thing since we were kids?”

Orion struggled to keep his cool as he looked at Thaddeus. “Just make sure you don’t slip up.”

Thaddeus nodded. “You can count on me.”

Matthew peeked out. “Bro, are you nervous? Come on, have some confidence. Let me talk to her.”

Orion felt his temper rising. Thaddeus grabbed Matthew. “Matt, maybe you should head out. Don’t linger.”

The poor kid, always on the brink of causing trouble.

“I didn’t even get to say goodbye to her. Wanted to leave a good impression. Woe is me!”
