Chapter 330

โ€œHand over the account; letโ€™s buy tickets for the game this weekend!โ€

The senior looked puzzled. โ€œWith your own money?โ€

โ€œYep, letโ€™s use a hundred grand for now. Iโ€™ll figure something out for more later!โ€

She had meant to talk to Thaddeus about sponsorship earlier, but never got the chance that day. Now that she was a partner at Maple Group, maybe she had the clout?

After the meeting, Lemira felt the urgent need for recruitment.

โ€œLetโ€™s set up a booth and recruit some new members tomorrow!โ€

She texted their lawyer: โ€œTomorrow is the final deadline.โ€

Back in her dorm, Lemira received a text from Orion: โ€œThe gym youโ€™re going to has trainers who arenโ€™t up to snuff. You could hurt yourself. Iโ€™ll find you a better place.โ€

Their last conversation had been days ago, right after he was discharged from the hospital and she mentioned hitting the gym. But now he was criticizing her trainer?

Lemira replied: โ€œNo need, this trainerโ€™s top-notch, used to be a pro.โ€

He responded: โ€œBeing a pro doesnโ€™t mean they can teach. How much do you think your little frame can handle?โ€

Lemira could almost see the smirk on his face as he said it. She replied with a string of ellipses and turned off her phone to sleep.

Seeing Lemiraโ€™s response, Orion tapped his screen thoughtfully. Stubborn, huh? Getting fiery.

The next day, Lemira woke up and immediately checked her phone, but Orion hadnโ€™t replied. Yawning, she headed out to recruit for the club, but as soon as she arrived at their booth, a crowd gathered around. People wanted her autograph, to take pictures with her.

Her senior chuckled, โ€œLemira, had I known you were this popular, I wouldโ€™ve had you out here yesterday.โ€

Just then, the crowd parted to reveal a group from the Business School, led not by Susanna, but by Dorian. This guy was hardly ever at school, rumored to be a barfly.

Dorian, yawning and looking half asleep, called out, โ€œLemira, bullying Eve again last night?โ€ Evelina had cried to him over the phone, ruining his night out.

Lemira sat calmly. โ€œWhat, looking for a fight?โ€

Dorian instinctively stepped back. โ€œDonโ€™t get cocky. Susannaโ€™s word is out; no oneโ€™s gonna join your team. Better resign as captain now and save us the trouble of recruiting.โ€

โ€œThat was yesterday. Todayโ€™s a new day.โ€

โ€œWhatโ€™s different about today? The sun rise from the west?โ€

Just as Dorian finished, Susanna walked over, clearly unwilling. Dorian couldnโ€™t help but mock, โ€œSee, Lemira, speak of the devil. Told you you wouldnโ€™t recruit a soul today!โ€

Lemira gave Susanna a half-smile. Susanna clenched her teeth, then addressed the crowd, โ€œListen up, everyone. I donโ€™t care which club you want to join, and I wonโ€™t stop you!โ€

The crowd was stunned. Dorian, incredulous, blurted out, โ€œSusanna, you feeling okay?โ€ Just yesterday, Susanna was all threats. And now, this sudden turnaround?

โ€œMind your own business!โ€

Susanna glared at Dorian, then faced Lemira with resentment burning in her eyes. She just wanted to strangle that little witch!
