Chapter 332
If it hadnโt been for his own voice breaking the silence, itโs likely nobody would have even noticed he was there.
Lemira couldnโt hide her surprise. โWhat are you doing here?โ
โDidnโt I tell you last night?โ
He turned slightly, a teasing gleam in his eyes. Lemira caught on to what he meant. Oh, this guy.
Orion walked towards her, dressed in sweatpants and a hoodie, the epitome of casual. Lemira pieced it together: โYou arranged for the coach?โ
โIt doesnโt matter.โ
โHow does it not matter?โ
Orion jumped onto the boxing ring, slipping on his gloves. โWanna spar for a bit?โ
Lemira looked at him, suddenly itching to land a few punches on that handsome face! She stepped in too: โSure, have you ever sparred before?โ
โJust messed around a few times?โ
โPerfect, so you canโt say I was picking on you later. The coach says Iโve got a knack for this.โ
Lemira put on her gloves, all eager and ready. Knocking him down would surely feel satisfying.
Orion stepped forward: โCome on!โ
Lemira launched into attack, but Orion dodged smoothly. She began to take it seriously, but couldnโt land a hit. It was as if he could predict her every move. Impossible!
Orionโs gaze darkened: โFocus. Iโm starting for real now.โ
Heโs starting now? Before Lemira could react, a punch sent her tumbling to the ground.
Frustrated but determined, Lemira fought back with all her might, her strength certainly an advantage. Yet, she still found herself outmatched, practically panting like a dog, while he seemed to be having an easy time!
By the time Orion had her pinned down for the last time, she gave up struggling.
โSo tiredโฆ Orion, you sure youโve only โmessed aroundโ a few times?โ
He seemed way too professional. He held her wrists, a smug smile playing on his lips. โYep.โ
โLiar.โ
โIโm just better than a beginner. Itโs normal for you not to beat me!โ
Feeling somewhat defeated, Lemira suddenly pointed behind him: โWhatโs that?โ
As Orion turned to look, she launched a sneak attack. But he caught her wrists again, shifting his weight to pin her down.
Close up, Lemiraโs breathing became erratic. Their proximity was undeniable. Breathless and sweat mingling, the pace of their hearts matched the intensity of the moment.
Lemira quickly let go, and he too rolled aside, pausing momentarily. Lying side by side, neither spoke. Lemiraโs heart raced, uncertain if it was the exertion or something else stirring her.
She moved slightly, her hand brushing his arm. She withdrew a little but could still feel the heat emanating from him, impossible to ignore.
Orion stared at the ceiling, sweat trickling down his temples.
Her rapid breathing filled his ears, reminding him of a night long past. His hand slowly clenched. Damn.
After a while, their breathing stabilized. Lemira turned her head, catching sight of the sunset, now a deeper red, casting a beautiful glow through the window.
She couldnโt help but speak, โOrion, look at the sunset.โ
He sat up: โWhere?โ
โRight over there.โ
As Lemira turned back, her face met Orionโs, their noses almost touching. Their closeness felt electric, almost as if they were about to kiss. Lemiraโs mind exploded, the world around her silenced, leaving only the sound of their pounding hearts. Like drums!
In Orionโs deep gaze, there was nothing but her, rendering everything else invisible.
