Lemira shrugged off Caspian’s grip without a second thought, completely disregarding his feelings. Her voice was ice cold: “But you’ve let me down too many times.”

Caspian, mindful of the surrounding fans, didn’t dare retaliate. But his voice grew colder: “Lemira, when have I ever let you down? Remember when you were bullied as a kid? Wasn’t I always the one standing up for you?”

“Standing up for me? More like those troublemakers came after me because of you, all the dangers you brought my way.”

Lemira’s eyes sparkled with mockery. “Spare me the ‘protective big brother’ act; you’re not fit for the role.”

With those words, Lemira turned and headed towards the team’s headquarters. Caspian was livid. Not fit? Back when he was nearly beaten to a pulp, didn’t Lemira just run off?

Evelina, noticing Lemira’s departure, feigned concern to the fans: “Please, don’t get the wrong idea. Lemmy’s just been really busy lately, and she’s been dealing with some family issues, so she’s a bit on edge.”

Some fans expressed their dissatisfaction: “But Lemira shouldn’t be acting all high and mighty, making the team wait on her.”

“Yeah, I even saw her snapping at our dear Casp.”

Evelina sighed theatrically: “Lemmy’s always been like that, quite the temper. Back home, everyone always tiptoes around her.”

At that moment, Caspian joined them. “Sorry about that, my sister can be stubborn, not as sweet as Eve here. But she’s really talented, so for my sake, please don’t hold it against her.”

“The worse Lemira treats me, the better it is for my image.” Having navigated the entertainment industry for years, Caspian knew how it worked. He glared at Evelina: “If I catch you playing these little games again, trying to smear Lemira’s name, you’re out of the Langston family!”

“Caspian, I really didn’t mean to.”

Caspian gripped Evelina’s hand tightly, lowering his voice: “Do you think you can fool me with these tricks? If it weren’t for the people around, I’d have set you straight already.”

Wincing in pain, Evelina nodded pitifully: “I’ve learned my lesson; it won’t happen again.”

“There won’t be a next time.”

Caspian let go of Evelina’s hand and immediately switched back to his charming persona, addressing the production team: “My sister Lemira’s here; let’s move inside the base for the shoot.”
